Project Summary

RID EuroMed brought together the LTDH (Tunisian League of Human Rights www.ltdh.tn/), RESO (Relais pour l’émergence d’une jeunesse sociale organisée) http://www.reso.tn/sitereso/), the REMESS (Réseau Marocain de l’Economie Sociale et Solidaire www.remess.ma/) then the RADOSE (Réseau des Associations des Oasis du Sud Est), the dFi (Deutsch Französisches Institut Erlangen http://www.dfi-erlangen.de/ fr), Dom Bretaanii (maison de la Bretagne – Fundacja Poznan-Ille http://dombretanii.org.pl/) and the MIR (Maison Internationale de Rennes http://mir-rennes.fr/) around major contemporary Euromediterranean democratic issues. These organizations have created seven training modules in the areas of Freedom of Conscience, Understanding of International News and Democracy and Power. These modules are presented in the form of turnkey teaching sheets, accompanied by documentary resources. Three modules focus on Freedom of Conscience and are designed for trainers of trainers and youth workers. Two modules are intended for socio-educational animators intervening with young people and adults away from academic knowledge and will allow them to understand international news, thanks to a critical use of media, the discovery of new sources of information and how to produce reliable information. In four areas: violent extremism, Israeli-Palestinian conflict, migration and climate change. Finally, two modules aim to equip young people and women with political decision-making through the appropriation of strategies and methods of lobbying, advocacy and negotiation. These seven modules are used in each country by the consortium members for face-to-face training and are also freely available online at http://www.liberte-de-conscience-rideuromed.com/ and https: // www .decrypterlactuinternationale-rideuromed.org / modules-de-training /. The partners associated 169 structures, 71 experts who contributed to the creation of these modules and reached 3889 people during their dissemination, training, exchange times, debates and experiments. The learners were extremely diverse: German teachers, French animators, Tunisian rights activists, Moroccan academics or women cooperators in Morocco still … The two e-learning platforms, which today bring together all the resources produced are intended to regularly offer “mini-conference debates” on all of the project’s themes. The consortium team made up of « development project managers » and « social and solidarity economy experts » has acquired the skills of international training engineer. Their organizations have diversified the courses they offer and clarified the way to go towards the quality labels and ISO and AFNOR certifications, have gained a national legitimacy vis-à-vis the actors of the civil society, the public authorities, institutions and universities, have received many requests for face-to-face training. They also experienced three years of solidarity in training engineering and international project management which now gives them the ability to think and defend a fair and transparent collective strategy for a Euro-Maghreb consortium.
