Project Summary

Entrepreneurship education is about enabling young people to develop skills they need for life and work. These crucial skills are teachable and must be integrated into educational subjects at all levels. This is a priority throughout Erasmus plus. This project did promote that improvement.
The objectives of the project were to get teachers to use an interdisciplinary approach for finding strategies to develop creativity and entrepreneurship among students, 10-16 years. This also included developing skills for working with student´s digital portfolio and that will lead to young people that are entrepreneurs and more creative who themselves can create the new jobs that we will need in the future.
Three country/region has been a part in this project and each had unique quality that provided opportunities to create new knowledge and good practice in the filelds mentioned above. Sweden/Piteå is specialized on entrepreneurial learning and entrepreneurship, Latvia/Rezekne – interdisciplinary subject teaching and learning and Italy/Laives- Personal Digital portfolio for students. Each region consists of one municipality named above, one school in each region and one pedagogic organisation from each country. All with special competences mentioned above.
The project was based on two “legs”, sharing good practice and undertake common teacher training. These two legs were “melted” together so that what you learn at the teacher training was something that you practice in the classroom. These experiences and these knowledges were then shared with other participant’s as a collegial learning.
The evaluation of the project has been done by questionnaires and interviews of participated teachers and each partner has taken an active part in this.
The result of the project was that teachers in the project got more skilled in the project subjects and by that they developed “tools” in this field of education. Tools that can be used by teacher in other schools. The tools where quality audit by Luleå university. The tools were in the end put together in a virtual toolbox. The toolbox contains of written materials, videos, photos, articles etc. The toolbox is launched on the internet and free for use. The box could be in use for other teachers that need to develop their skills in these topics.
