Project Summary

The aim of the project is to create educational sets using the method of debates, prepared to suit the preferred way of teaching deaf people. The project will create 30 “packages” consisting of a short film introducing the topic of debate, lesson outline, set of questions to students and content for teachers.
These tools will be comprehensive and complementary to the learning content of deaf people with impaired language communication, as well as apatics, adolescents with auditory processing disorders and central hearing impairment. The project will be tested and implemented in special schools and integration facilities, it will serve to equalize opportunities by shaping attitudes open to the world and society. This task will be to eliminate barriers and backwardness and strongly stimulate the resourcefulness, activity, commitment, ingenuity and creativity of people with hearing impairments.
Using modern scientific aids during classes, in addition to the creative-, exercises-, control- and education- functions, meets the criteria of the so-called polisensory teaching – uses larger amounts of sensory or learning styles, which is particularly important in the education of the handicapped people.
The target groups are:
– children and youth on ISCED 3 teaching level in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The program can be effectively used in school meetings, homes and outside the official education system.
– didactic personnel – teaching, pedagogues, school psychologists,
– families of deaf people,
– dissemination phase – school management staff, teachers, pedagogues, school psychologists, school management and management bodies, decision makers, and higher education institutions.
The essence of innovation in the transnational cooperation is the combination of experience and knowledge from 3 countries (European added value) to create a universal design, which will be more efficient and effective, and can be disseminated on a wider scale.
The partnership consists of: Foundation designer of educational sets, coordinate the implementation, and -two special schools with the great experience and background in the deaf education from Slovakia and Czech Republic. This partnership for several years was successfully working in the area indicated in the application form, is seriously able to establish the product ( 30 educational sets). Thanks the supervision of the Intellectual Work Team will be offered development, providing good value and quality management. Next steps will be: testing, effectiveness control, evaluate to the final version and finally dissemination. Thanks to such form of the Partnership will be saved project live in both the product and influence.
Dissemination phase provides the transfer of developed innovations to the participants of the project: management, didactic personnel, educators of deaf people, non-governmental units providing education and support for the deaf from above Countries from Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Potential users will be informed about the advantages of developed products, the benefits generated by their use and advantages advantage in relation to existing teaching methods. All the message will be supported by PR activities forwarded online and traditional.
Additionally will be used so-called “whispered advertising” especially effective within the deaf community. Information to the media will be transferred by the press articles, notes and brifings informing about the results and progress in the project. The interest by the media these topics will distribute information to the general public. In this action will be involved regional and national media incl. deaf community newspapers and Internet portals.
