Project Summary

Five partners encountered one common problem in each country and decided to try change the situation. Partners come from LT, IT, PL, RO, TR and the common issue is the rates of youth unemployment (IT-38,9%, RO-23,1%, PL-19,1%, TR-18,7%, LT-18.3%) were vivid facts of the struggles the young graduates had when it came to finding a suitable work place in conjunction with their abilities, skills and interests. In this regard, our partnership main aim was to assist students into the activity of evaluating their own abilities and interests for the long run and to help them choose a safe, correct and suitable direction to a successful career, to help them make suitable career choices.
The project is about the advancement of students’ entrepreneurial aptitudes and offered them chances to interface with neighbourhood/local/European foundations or privately owned businesses inside the general, public European labour force. The students studied their own marketability to potential employers or clients (marketability), improved their adaptability and adjusted to the idea of continuous and consistent learning and adaptable vocation alternatives, built up their versatility to work markets not only at local, but also at national, international and European level.
The partnership gave students a chance to improve their knowledge and gain a more profound comprehension of the social and linguistic variety of the European people group. Subsequently, the project provided a significant setting for them to build up their interpersonal, relational and communicational skills in foreign languages, both aim close and face-to-face meetings/visits and also by utilizing a wide range of media tools for online correspondence and for the creation of website that could advertise the projects’ results.
The period of implementation is 28 months and during this short-term exchange of teachers was hosted, 3 short-term exchange of students and 1 virtual mobility hosted by Poland team, because of the Covid-19 it couldn’t be done physically. Before each LTTA meeting with students, teachers had many practical activities at their local schools. During each LTTA the host school organized workshops to analyse the general economic situation of their position in Europe, identifying positive and negative aspects. Each LTTA meeting dealt with a specific subtopic and 2 different specific topics for workshops. Practical activities and workshops organized during the meetings were connected to the subtopic and had the purpose to help reaching the objectives. From the activities run during the meeting 1 good practice was selected as final result, which was further transferred to other educational institutions; the same, from the activities organized from before the LTTA exchanges, each partner school had chosen the best practice and presented it during the following meeting.
The project had an international aim: to prepare. That is to train and assist students in choosing their future career, to make them aware of the different fields of labour, aware of the skills and training they need in order to occupy a good position in the workplace; to familiarize them with the criteria required for getting a job and to boost their positiveness towards living through working. A total number of 1624 of direct and indirect participants were influenced by the partnership.
Students: the participating students were between 15-18 years old (total number of about 790).
Teachers: teachers as instructors and beneficiaries were involved in the implementation of the project activities. They directly learnt about different educational systems through Europe. A total number of about 25 teachers in total directly involved in activities. Approximately 160 teachers indirectly were affected.
Administrative staff: supervised good development of the initial plan and ensured the insertion of the good practices into the school curriculum (around 34 individuals) and school workers who helped to prepare for and during the LTTA activities.
Parents: a number of about 300 family members helped advertising local and national customs and traditions, indirectly involved in the implementation. They also participated in the project disseminations events.
Local community: an approximate number of 300 people: faculty lecturers, members of local press, municipality, PTAs, directorate of national education etc. affected in an indirect way through various forms of dissemination.
It is expected that more than 50% of the target group:
– improves their business and entrepreneurial basic skills;
– learns about opportunities to get in touch with different companies from different work fields from local/national/international levels;
– boosts their adaptability to changes and realize the importance of continuous learning and the importance of having flexible vocation choices;
– builds up their versatility towards the labour market in nearby, national, international and EU level.
