Project Summary

Project Professionally ahead was implemented as a need to direct young people and graduates of agricultural schools to work and apply to agriculture and rural sectors.

It was implemented by the Secondary School of Agriculture and Rural Services in Levice, Slovakia, the Secondary Agricultural School in Rakovnik, the Czech Republic, civic associations – OZ Guľôčka, Málaš Slovakia, My Krzyzskovice, Wieliczka Poland and Ister Granum Esztergom Hungary. These organizations also had a lot of joint work on the diversity of their core activities, and jointly created materials to help young people and the general public orientate themselves in the possibilities of doing business in the field of agriculture and rural development. Their diversity has been beneficial for a different view and way of dealing with the same issues. The theme is important for everyone, because it is a priority to produce quality regional foods that we want to buy from proven sources. Such entrepreneurs can become our current, future as well as past graduates who are involved in the continuation and improvement of farmers’ work with new technologies, innovative processes, but also through the restoration of traditional recipes.
Manufacturers have to go through legislation and problems in each partner country, trying to analyze the most important issues and some of the possible solutions that could be eliminated.

During the project, international project meetings were hold to guide thoughts and topics of outputs. The places visited and the discussions aimed at finding examples of good practice, opportunities for rural entrepreneurship and ways to enable young people to find their first job, preferably in the field of agriculture, to become the successors of farmers and workers in agriculture, whose age requires the gradual exchange of workers.
Training activities in the form of field exercises have shown partner school students the course of practice and facilities of farms and businesses, from which they gain practical skills in order to compare them with the conditions at home. And they also found ways to make them better and better. This task was addressed mainly to pedagogical and school leadership. There is also the possibility of doing more, more innovatively, the practical part of the final exams.

We have succeeded in passing on the experience gained to the multiplier events and presenting the outputs that have been created in this way among another group of listeners and other proponents of the need for modernization, innovation and generational exchange in agriculture. Determined collaboration with new partners and the consolidation of existing partnerships with cooperating organizations has made us aware that the materials created are useful for a wide range of activities that partner organizations and their other partners will implement.

The processed topic is always changing material and still requires public attention. We would like to continue with this issue to bring additional materials to students and to rural development stakeholders.
