Project Summary

Our project “Cycling for the change (CFC)” longs to become a starting point for students from 3 very different school to carry out a common goal. Each school attempting that goal from their own characteristics.This common goal will develop both the students’ academic and personal aspects of life.- Within the academic scope the project spins off round a main axis: the multicurricula work focused on the rediscovery of their own natural and cultural environment, as well as that from others with different biodiversity and culture.This will allow easy access for any members of the school without any need of special deep specific requirement.The personal aspects of students’ life will be developed by their common relationships applying a collaborative methodology, and avoiding any types of discrimination.We present two different guidelines of performance:- Workshop for the elaboration of cultural and natural guides of the different surrounding areas near the member schools.- Setting up a net of “Volunteers On Wheels (VOW)” that will work not only inside the schools but outside them with a series of supportive activities.So, with a definitive intention of being clear and concise, our project gathers only three schools from Poland, Greece and Spain. Schools with great differences in the social, economic and educative context. Differences which mean an element of enrichment thank to the experience that every school offers.Our aim is to join all these individual experiences to create a unique proposal that in the end, brings a deeper knowledge of our environment, cares for the students to improve their social contexts when possible.Everything above means that the project will be linked, as close as possible, to the local authorities. Meanwhile, it will integrate the highest number of participants within the educational community.We intend that the results of the project could be useful for anyone not only while the running of the process but even afterwards, and that the net of volunteers becomes something that go beyond our own schools and cities.
