Project Summary
The aim of the project “Technical and vocational skills development” was to use innovative methods based on Vocational Education and Training focused on developing educational and personal skills, improving students’ results at school, making classes more interactive and appealing to students,acquiring more knowledge or improving the personal and vocational skills in order to become an active European citizen.
The project aimed to prepare students to consciously undertake professional work or self-employment, improve and develop their professional skills, taking into account the needs of the European market, using tools available in the area of vocational education.
The recipients of the project were both students as well as employees of schools / partner institutions, as well as associates of organizations implementing projects for local communities. As part of the project, a guide to the best practices implemented in countries and partner organizations was developed – a practical publication containing examples of how to teach and learn for a sustainable future.
Partner organizations use new tools and competences created by the staff to carry out activities aimed at a wide audience in order to popularize the idea of education and vocational training, develop students’ skills, using lifelong learning opportunities in the processes of activating local communities.
The variety of schools and partner institutions is the value added of the project due to intercultural and intergenerational dialogue. The project was developed by Poland in cooperation with 5 organizations, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Slovenia, Spain and Turkey. Each of them brought the project a unique experience enriching its scope and dimension.

From the monitoring of activities and the final evaluation carried out, it can be stated that the objectives and assumptions of the project have been achieved.
As a part of the implementation of project activities, the following were implemented:
– thematic workshops in individual countries, including: workshops for students in the field of key competences – communication skills (business communication in English); workshops in the field of professional competence – technical skills in the field of mechanical engineering; photography and graphics; 3D design and printing; workshops on key competences – communication in a foreign language – German, workshops on key competences – communication in a foreign language – English, technical English; workshops on key competences – communication skills (business communication – entrepreneurship workshops); personal and social competence workshops; floral workshops; organization of meetings with vocational counselors, including: how to set up your own business.
During the implementation of the project, three transnational project meetings were carried out in Turkey, Bulgaria and Poland, and 4 learning/teaching/training activities in Poland, Spain, Slovenia and Cyprus. The project team also developed: a guide for teachers on how to work on the Moodle platform; a video in English – job interviews; a guide to the best practices implemented in countries and partner organizations – a practical publication with examples of how to teach and learn for a sustainable future and virtualna project brochure.
The implementation of project activities allowed the students to look differently at their future profession, gain skills that increased their chances of participation in the national and European labor market. Participation in the project has improved their social competences in the field of language communication, interpersonal communication, teamwork, responsibility for tasks performed. A stay abroad made students aware of the importance of language competences in interpersonal relations in the work environment as well as outside it, which influenced their motivation to continue learning foreign languages. Understanding the cultural conditions of the host countries has contributed to greater openness to people and the world.
