Project Summary
The aim of this project was to improve the knowledge of teachers/students as well as of pupils concerning the use of IKT-tools and should encourage teachers to use various forms of teaching methods. Our main aim was to improve the quality of education and the quality of the interface between primary and secondary school. In constant interchange and by the use of digital learning scenarios (e.g. OTP) should key skills – especially IKT-skills – as well as the responsible use of digital media for teachers/students be supported and enlarged. Notably the testing of an e-buddy system was of high importance: Based on the cooperation with teachers and pupils of secondary schools with teachers/pupils of primary schools a new mutual understanding of the role of teachers/pupils (teachers became pupils and pupils became teachers) will be established, which led to a transfer of knowledge between two each other assembling types of school. This way the sustainability was stimulated and the independent learning by having sole responsibility was strengthened as well as the social competence of all involved.During the length of the project there were workshops to teach teachers how to create e-learning sequences which should then be used in class. It was necessary to prepare and qualify pupils of the secondary school as e-buddies for tuition at primary school. In the course of the project meetings the project partners got to know various European realities for entering intercultural dialogue. They got an overview of the different national education systems, the administration of schools and qualification and advanced training of teachers.Information was exchanged, systems compared and joint lesson activities planned. In addition to that, “best practice” examples (learning platforms, IKT equipment, projects and digital learning resources) were interchanged. The project-partners were developing together teaching activities supported by e-learning for various educational institutions of the regions in order to make learning and teaching at school more innovative in regard to a change of paradigm. The activities of all project partners were recorded, evaluated digitally and the results gained were published in all the regions involved in this project. Expertise of this project was integrated into education at school and into qualification and advanced training of pedagogues. Products and results were documented at education platforms and accessible at www.lms.at and at the projecthomepage http://e-bridges.bildungsserver.com/.
