Project Summary

This project included 6 teachers and 14 students (4 Italian and 2 Austrian teachers as well as 7 Austrian and 8 Italian students) whose aim was to develop videos and collect pictures about different cultural aspects during their stay in the partnerschool. At the end of the project there was be a project presentation where the videos were shown to the audience which consisted of students, parents, teachers and representatives of various schools and the media. To secure the dissemination of the videos also during teacher seminars the videos were shown and can be downloaded from a website. To prepare the participants of the project to create good future teaching material initial communication between them even before the activities start was needed and was done via eTwinning and Facebook. A facebookgroup was implemented in order to collect ideas, discuss facts and provide advice.
Other goals of the project included better competence of foreign language skills, decreased prejudice, getting to know a new culture, traditions so that the participants can be called European citizens. The latest trends showed that our youth has to have international experience in order to compete at the labour market. The students got the Europass certificate as well as a certificate by the partnerschool.
