Project Summary
Context/background of the project
– Lack of enough opportunities for professional development of teachers.
– Fragmented offer.
– Lack of quality criteria.
– Lack of awareness of teachers/educational staff of LLL opportunities.
Objectives of the project
– To increase the accessibility of teachers to in-service trainings and to raise the availability of high quality and tailored in-service training.
– To create an Online platform with high-quality teacher-centered in service trainings responding to quality criteria.
– To promote the cooperation between schools and training providers.
Two profiles of participating organizations took part in the project: training providers and schools
– Training providers: have contributed to > international meetings / communication management / impact and dissemination / creation of online platform and Community of practice. Training providers representatives undertook several roles and a project team has been composed.
– Schools: have been asked to involve as much as possible their educational staff. Teachers/educational staff (managers included) have participated in all project activities, such as data research, attending trainings abroad, providing evaluation, etc.
The project has implemented the following activities
– Data research for identifying quality criteria: schools and training providers have participated
– Development of training modules: training providers have elaborated them during transnational meeting and online local work
– Training modules: attendance of schools staff, organized by training providers, constant evaluation > redefinition and adjustment of the criteria
– Creation of Online platform + Community of Practice> offers for teachers with quality-criteria applied have been gathered // The CoP brought trainers together
– Multiplier event: dissemination of results > online platform + Raising awareness of LLL
The methodology applied during the project included:
– Constant cooperation training provider-school
– Constant cooperation and monitoring within the training provider partnership
The results and impact that the project has achieved are related to:
– More trained educational staff, better awareness of teachers of LLL initiatives and better motivation to apply for such training courses
– Training providers are more aware of teachers needs in terms of in-service trainings, exchange of best-practice with other TPs, being part of the international network and Community of Practice
The long term project benefits shall be seen in perspective are refer to:
Regarding the Schools> Higher quality education centers, better results from learners, teachers better aware of European dimension
Regarding the Training providers > collaborative network for exchanging best-practices, promote greater visibility in the online platform, more aware of teachers’ needs and interests
