Project Summary

The 3 partners ‘s students are either from low-incomes classes or from priviledged social background. Vulnerable students often margnialize or discredit themselves by excluding the possibility of taking part in exchanges or going abroad because of school or social difficulties.
The particpants who got into mobilites during this project discovered foreigner countries and learn how their inhabitants exercize their citizenship then they exposed it in their own country to encourage their communities to get into mobilities through europe. The project helped to extend european citizenship and to settle the common values leading all the partners in and outside schools because the programm of each activity is based on leaving together despite the cultural or social differences.
This project has been completed by others grants which increased the numbers of students getting into mobilities and experiences abroad.

How many students are concerned?
Each year, 18 to 23 french people hosted german and italian ones with teaching and learning activites, combined with cultural visits and a discovery of the french political system in order to learn how their partners practise their citizenship. Then, french students discovered Rome or Bonn in the same way to compare the three systems and to learn more about foreign countries.
In total, it involved 72 students over the two years (much more than the 96 students expecetd over three years planed before pandemy) and many were from disavantaged families or encouraged to particpate in spite of their school difficulties.

Activities :
Citizenship : City hall, rathaus, european parliament (Strasbourg and Brussels) , local chambers (Bonn’s Bundestag, Roma’s Quirinale, french « assembleée nationale »), meeting with politicians about local democracy.
Sustainibility :
Beach cleaning, sea center, action with local charities
Culture :
Visit of many historical sites and typical landscapes

Aim was to promote mobility in and out the partners, this was quite achieve by sending more students than expected and contribute to promote the school af an european friendly school based on discovering other’s cultures and past, identifying to them thank to a common europan citizenship awareness. Project contributed also to include any student despite his issues in any project in the school.
Nevertheless, this project did not increase long mobilities as expected, but this effect may be observe later than the year after the first one.
