Project Summary
WINDOWED : Watching Inside a New Dimension to Open a Window on a European Development
Through a range of varied activities we will help our students be aware of the world they live in to open their minds through that window onto the European teenagers they will meet to become strong European citizens and go on sharing and spreading ideas of solidarity and unity through an individualistic world virtually connected. The encounter of people in the flesh prevails in this virual world and getting to discover who we are to get to know who the others really are is the best means to build strong links between teenagers.
Everything we look at is windowed, limited, screened, and that is the world we live in.
This project will allow the students to play on the reverse perspective over the windows. From the inside, the window opens onto their future. From the outside, it is a reflection on the past.
Students from France, Latvia, Romania and the United Kingdom will take part in activities such writing a school newspaper, making a PowerPoint presentation, making a short film and acting in a play to present their work on what growing up in the 21st century represents. They will look through the past, analyse the present and look to the future.
The whole community will benefit from the project : students, their parents, teachers, non-teaching staff and local representatives.
The aim is to have teenagers spread the news that being part of the European community is valuable.
