Project Summary
At the beginning of the Project, we, 5 partner schools from Romania,Turkey,Bulgaria,Spain and Lithuania stated that family is the smallest unit of the society and the first place where foundations of education are to be taken and also said that in recent years there is a considerable increase in divorce rate in all partner countries.So, children who grew up in broken homes are directly affected and they have a tendency to bullying more than their peers.Moreover, we know many studies Show that if parents and school cooperate, the students get more positive learning environment, attend classes regularly and have a successful school life without bullying.With this Erasmus+ Project named ‘Be Buddy NOT Bully’, we aimed to minimize the amount of bullying cases especially among disadvantaged group students whose parents are divorced and have to work out of the city or country to create a positive learning environment fort hem, to maket hem learn the feeling of success and also to socialize them.
Our Project team included five partner schools from Romania,Turkey,Bulgaria,Spain and Lithuania.There were 5 LTTs in the Project and at least 4 students and 2 accompanying person attended the LTT activities,but the number of the students,teachers and local participants were more in host countries.The last mobility in the Project which is to Turkey was a virtual mobility because of Covid-19 pandemic,so there were more participants in this mobility(approximately 120 participants)With this virtual mobility, our participants had a chance to learn and use some web2 tools. Each host country planned a mobility that has a different theme,topic connected to main topic,bullying.Our Project lasted in 36 months and during this time we achieved;
-Seminars given by experts to understand what is bullying in fact,different types of bullying and find permanent solutions to prevent peer bullying and promote a positive climate at schools.
-Visiting expatriate and divorced families to share experience and good examples.
-Organizing tours to Child Protection Agencies,Nursery Home and Greenhouse to make our students try to understand other people’s feelings,socialize them and develop the sense of responsibility.
-Motivating disadvantaged students to physical activities or some courses such as music and art to direct their negative energy and feeling to positive one.
-Delivering handouts in different schools and city center to inform other students,educators and local people.Writing postcards to their peers living in foreign countries to increase their communication ability in foreign language(English)
-Organizing marches abot bullying to popularize our Project.Visiting local authorities and presentingthem the materials about our Project such as pens,blocknotes,masks and cups,T-shirts etc…Also we had a websiteof our Project.
