Project Summary

The main theme of the project is Refugees and Immigration. Moved by a common concern, the centres involved decided to study the problem focusing on the following points:

– forced immigrants
– causes and consequences of forced migration
– impact of immigration on children
– societal awareness

To this end, we drew up a work plan that tried to frame the problem in four large blocks, corresponding to each of the learning and mobility activities, in order to facilitate its analysis by the students:

– identifying and recognising the problem of migration
– contact with immigrants, refugees and associations
– voluntary activities
– dissemination of the work carried out

In each of them, each of the partners, worked the subject with their students from their own perspective. These works were shared in the corresponding mobilities, where common conclusions were analyzed and extracted.

A record and follow-up of these activities can be found on the project’s TwinSpace (https://twinspace.etwinning.net/63771/home) and on its facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/174127366670032/).

The objectives were several: to increase social responsibility towards immigrants, as well as awareness, sensitivity, tolerance and empathy towards migrants and refugees; to destroy stereotypes; and to encourage entrepreneurship and volunteerism among students.

We believe that these objectives have been more than achieved because the project reached, at one time or another, all the students in the centres and, therefore, their families. Families that actively participated in the reception of the students in each mobility.
