Project Summary

The main objective of the project is water sequrity. We all want to make sure that our communities will be supplied with the sufficient ammount of this precious yet easily affected natural resource despite the climate change. The students and teachers will become ambassadors of fresh water in the region during and long after the project completion.
The importance of water in our life will not be limited to providing sufficient ammount of it to inhabitants but to present to the participants the complexity and variety of different aspects of the recource. The understading of the vital and key information about the product such as whether the water is essential to our life, its chemical and physical properties, its distribution, and effects on human civilisation and culture. Laboratory days are the aspects of the project that unites all the participants and actions in the project and thus ensures that the aims of it , which are water saving, improving students competence in scietific studies and implementing experiments as the basis for scientific study and knowledge enhancement are met.
The activities which are the revealing the chemical and physical aspects of water, developing and improving innovative methods of learning, assessing the dietary patterns and at the same time improving students language competence and tolerance towards different cultures, enchancing teachers professional development, improving our ICT skills, and becoming active participants of the are the main priorities of the project. 3 schools from Poland, Romania and Bulgaria take part in the project. The schools are primary and lower secondary which enables implementation of the project aims in all age groups. The project is addressed to studenst , parents and local communities and thus we expect the whole society to benefit from it. Both students and teachers will take part in the project meetings.
We plan 3 project meetings: one in every participating country to ensure equal opportunities. There are certain topics around which we develop learning activities. They are: water properties, eco-rules, water in art, water games water dictionary, water saving. The topics will be covered through all sorts of actions and events. Some of them are: open letter, happenings, albums, film recording, conducting experiments and scientific reasearch, peer teaching, surveys and reports. Thanks to the actions students will develop Science, Literacy and English as well as basic skills.
We are sure that the project will influence both students, teachers and the whole communities. We hope to reinforce water saving habits which will result in increase in fresh water supply and securing this vital resource for future generations. Teachers to gain new teaching methodsand techinques to conduct successful lessons and to improve professionaly thanks to international cooperation and project actions. This will be accomplished by the usage of ICT tools and cooperation with studenst in teaching process. All participants will gain motivation to learn foreing languages and improve English skills. Studenst will gain new friendships which will make them more open and tolerant to new cultures, which may help them in their future quest for international posts. And above all, they will gain new skills so essentiola in 21st century: team work, critical thinking, communication and creativity.
The results of the students and teachers work will be presented with the cooperation of parents, local authorities and mass media. The large database will work as a source of dissemination and promotion of the project results among Internet users. It will work as an inspiration for teacher trainees, and teachers from other educational institutions to start a similar project.
