Project Summary

The educational exchange between two preschool institutions from Berlin and Reykjavik takes two years. The pedagogues on both sides chose different striking topics, which are important in the educational mediation in day-care centers. The following topics were compared, discussed, tested and implemented: inclusion, democracy building, children’s rights, open work. In the course of the project, various topics were added that were not yet in the focus of the application. Thus, the support structure, the training situation, the shortage of skilled workers and the possibility of multi-professional teams, digitization on application was still a desire. Over the course of two years they became reality They were integrated into the educational comparison and enriched the technical discussion. Two years and four project meetings provided a lot of impetus. Both institutions developed and implemented good ideas and good educational building blocks into their own pedagogical approach. The good impulses live on and are the basis for projects in the early education.
