Project Summary
Nowadays, it is crucial to make our daily lives healthier that can be achieved by reducig toxic subsatnces which have a negative impact on our bodies and additionally are the cause of numeruous diseases. To minimize the intake of them, we must focus on building healthy nutrition habits such as eliminating these toxics in house cleaning products, using more natural personal care products and giving more space to sports in our lives. When we observe our students it can be noticed that many of them lead rather passive lifestyles, do not eat healthily, do not have enough knowledge about the use of chemicals in personal care and household cleaning products. We all need to try to change this inappropriate behaviour in order to make young people aware of being eco-friendly and realize them the value of proper choices concerning their health, physical condition and mental state. Through the extensively planned studies of the project, we aim at developing consciousness of leading non toxic lifestyles not only among our students but also people around them and their families. In order to achieve our goal, we created our partnership organization among 5 countries: POLAND, TURKEY, SPAIN, SLOVAKIA, ITALY which have already worked on these subjects in their schools and participated in the EU Project. We planned 4 Learning Teaching and Training activities:
1) Poland: Life Without Toxic is Possible and Fun.
2) Turkey: Use Harmless Make Difference.
3) Spain: Be Smart, Be Healthy.
4) Italy: “Mens Sana in Corpore Sano” – Healthy Mind in a Healthy Body.
Furthermore, we planned the project to include 120 participants who will be for sure engaged in all the project activities and play the vital role in there. Our project will have 96 flows except for the participants of host schools. We have some specific expectations with regards to participants who need to be eager to lead a non toxic lifestyle and actively involve others, be open to self-development, ready for team work, tolerant to other cultures, good at personal communication, have at least A1 level in English and undoubtedly be a role-model for the whole surrounding society.
Thanks to the project and mobilities, students will gain additional knowledge about basic learning methods including learning by doing, peer learning, the interdisciplinary exploration, the brainstorming and interactive group learning. All the participants will have a chance to use this new information and implement it into their lives.
Through all these activities we aim to reach main objectives:
1) Forming healthy eating habits.
2) Creating own natural personal care products containing natural ingredients and as a result eliminating toxic ones.
3) Applying more natural formulas to minimize chemicals in household cleaning products.
4) Promoting among young people more active lifestyle.
Beyond these main objectives, we also aim to develop the idea of healthy old age through healthy youth, keep young people away from bad habits, increase their academic success, gain European Citizenship awareness, develop respect to other cultures and improve foreign languages and digital skills. Another important goal of our project is not to limit participants’ input into the project, but just the opposite to involve as many people as possible who will form the target groups of the project: our students, teachers, parents, students and teachers of nearby schools, locals, related organisations and people from all over the world. All dissemination activities will be carried out to expand the project domain through information meetings, Erasmus+ board, Padlet Page of the project, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, news releases, local media, Health Day celebrations, Erasmus Days events, public actions, a workshop on “How Can We Produce Our Own Cleaning And Personal Care Products At Home?”, e-Twinning project of “Act 4 Non Toxic Lifestyle”. What is more, dissemination activities will be carried out after project finishes.
The project will have a short-term impact on the participants because thanks to their involvement they will become individuals who know the harmful effects of toxic subsatnces and are also aware of importance of being truly engaged in developing a nontoxic lifestyle. Therefore, they will become conscious of forming healthy eating habits, doing more sports, reducing chemicals in personal products and using natural ones. Moreover, students’ multilingualism, European citizenship, cultural awareness and expression, digital and interpersonal skills will be improved.
Long-term effects of the project on participants are the following: they will contribute to a cleaner world by reducing the usage of chemicals, will ensure the transmission of culture to new generations by applying traditional ways, will develop a healthy aging process thanks to healthy youth, will create a network to share best practices and cooperation within these areas for future studies so long-lasting learning processes will be improved.
