Project Summary

This project is a reflection of an important global issue whose solution could be found for a particular region with the participation of several countries. Common problems unite people and motivate them to seek common solutions. The harmony between the human creator and the human being is necessary. The main objective of this project, which involves five schools in five different countries, is to promote and form an ecological attitude towards nature. Participants will focus their efforts on contemporary man and make him change his attitude towards the livable world, because the punishment of contemporary man is that he has become a consumer of nature. This is a project that will raise the issue of accountability to future generations. Its aim is to help young people to change not only their attitude towards nature, but also to adapt to ethics and their value systems. As a result, each partner will explore the renewable energy sources in their region or country and present them to their project partners and all together at a round table looking for answers to questions like: What are the ways to save energy at home and school, how and what to recycle, how to store up energy? It is a project that aims to alarm as many people as possible in Europe. That’s why we’re going to make an interactive map of renewable energy sources in the area where students live, to boost their interest in green energy. During training, we will visit a wind or photovoltaic farm in the region to discover the benefits of this energy. This will also help to form a civic position and a desire to deal with the apathy of contemporary man, who lives with the thought that it doesn’t have any effects on him and nothing depends on him. In addition, we will ensure that students with special educational needs are included to find their place in the project and not feel isolated, unworthy and a burden on society. They will collect materials for recycling and distribution of leaflets. Our project will act as a call for help and therefore we hope to educate the youth with an active civic position. Once the project has been completed, students ‘ participation in civic initiatives to promote renewable energies will prove that we have reached our primary goal and have reported that there is still a chance for the Earth to be saved before it’s too late.
The project will encourage multicultural education, tolerance and also provoke the desire in each participant to preserve nature and seek alternative sources of energy. We hope that this desire to be contagious and attract more and more people to the ideas of the project. One of the best activities will be the editing of student essays in a collection. The beginning that we define for our “green initiatives” will be followed by new similar acts that are going to spread like a domino. The learning, teaching and training activities will bring together students and teachers from different European countries, which will contribute to the collaboration of people from different cultures. This collaboration will certainly be very useful and innovative and will help to build trust and respect among all the participants. After each training meeting, where students will demonstrate the acquired skills, we’ll give them a “responsible for the future”, certify the skills: creativity, active citizenship, defense of a position and taking Quick decisions, logical and creative thinking. Each creative work will receive a certificate. We will try to teach our students to think creatively and critically about issues related to alternative energy sources. The students gain the confidence they know and can beresponsible and that are part of the future of the world. It is becoming more and more obvious that conventional education system can no longer supply the best knowledge for modern society. Therefore, we will apply new interactive practices in our training meetings that work on a principle, different from that so far. We would as well like to apply an alternative approach to the learning process. We’ll collaborate with non-governmental organizations, local students ‘ parliaments, institutions and local formal and informal schools in the region to disseminate the results and outputs of the project. The continuity of the project will be ensured by filming the meetings that will be available on CD for each participant. Products made with Recycled materials will be distributed after the end of the project, too, because we believe that patience and determinateness are necessary for the successful accomplishment of our common goal.
