Project Summary

Context and Objectives:
Jules Ferry Middle School (Chambéry, France) and the Hankoniemen Lukio (Hanko, Finlande) are keen on initiating a partnership program between the French and Finnish students coming from a wide range of social backgrounds. The English language will be the main subject bringing together the French and Finnish students involved. 3 main objectives will focus on three main objectives:

– Create a strong lasting partnership and thus contribute to promoting cooperation and mobility within Europe.
– Strengthen and improve the students and teachers’ communication skills in foreign language.
– Prevent early school leaving by including special needs students and/or students with great learning difficulties.

Thanks to European projects such as ERASMUS+, Jules Ferry Middle School and Hankonienmen lukio wish to get involve in a unifying project which will lead to a lasting twinning.
Such an ambitious project is lacking in ours two schools. It is consistent with the different sections taught French as a Second Language Section, Gifted Students Section, CLIL Section, …
Teachers in charge of those specific sections in ours schools will also benefit from European and International links and pedagogy.

Activities and Methodologies:

– French and Finnish teachers will work in close collaboration: Coordinators (Principal, supervising teachers) will be in charge of doing the follow up to their peers and plan the different activities and meetings (Skype, WhatsApp, eTwinning…).
– Each activities will regularly be reported on European platforms (eTwinning, mobility tools, webgate.ec, europa.eu …) in order to keep track of the work achieved by the students.
The numerous productions downloaded on the different platforms will attest to the coherence and positive results of the project.
– The Education for sustainable development is setting a new direction for education and learning for all in this project.
– The Arts and creativity is an other activities subject for learning in this project.

Impacts and long-lasting repercussions.
