Project Summary
Entrepreneurs are often thought of as national assets to be cultivated, motivated, and remunerated to the greatest possible extent.Great entrepreneurs have the ability to change the way we live and work.If their innovations get successful, they may improve standards of living, and in addition to creating wealth with entrepreneurial ventures, they also create jobs and contribute to a growing economy. But entrepreneurship education practice at schools for a long time has been neglected,or at least not treated with appropriate attention. As a result, the European Union emphasized its importance with the Lisbon Strategy for Growth and Jobs (Lisbon European Council 2000 and 2005) which stressed the necessity of supporting educational and career choices as well as entrepreneurship education in schools and colleges by the member countries.
ALL YOUR DREAMS CAN COME TRUE IF YOU HAVE THE COURAGE TO PURSUE is a 2 year project with 6 partners, which stems from the needs identified in all partner schools deals with the promoting high school students’ entrepreneural skills. Our aims are equipping students with necessary entrepreneurial skills, professional development and starting and running their own businesses, teaching students flexibility, creativity and self-confidence as both future employers and employees, improving their IT skills while working with modern technologies and technological devices, developing creative thinking and problem-solving,improving team-building and motivational competences, starting cooperation and strenghtening existing links between the local businesses and schools participating in the project, improving the teachers’ competences in the areas of teaching entrepreneurship, use of foreign languages, improving language skills, especially in the field of Business English, making young people realise that despite our cultural diversities,we are a part of global economy, which gives us many possibilities to participate. To reach these goals we will organize 4 short term students exchange(for each 5 students and 2 teachers from each school,in total 120 students and 48 teachers)and 2 staff trainings on Creative Drama and Product Presentation consisting of 12 teachers in each(2 teachers from each school).During these mobilities, the participants will have an opportunity to study on the given topics, to practice their foreign language and IT skills, to work in mixed teams as well as to visit the local businesses, to talk to the young or local entrepreneurs and to compare their knowledge and experience. The students are between 14-18 ages and they come from different backgrounds.Among them, there are also some students with economical obstacles, staying in dormitories besides volunteers and high achievers in English in partner schools. The participating teachers are experienced and expert ones on the methods, used to promote entrepreneural skills, who will carry out the project with the other teachers of different subjects.
Thanks to this project we will be able to lead our students to international cooperation to widen their horizons in the field of entrepreneurship, mainly to provide them not only with the theoretical background but also with the practical experience in this field.Through their cross-country cooperation and personal experience of the real local businesses, the participants will benefit from the participation at the project, not to mention the cultural and cross-cultural awareness that will enable them to broaden their minds and capabilities,as well as their performance, communication and language skills. They will have to work with a set of indicators of achievement, both quantitative and qualitative, which they will use to measure. While carrying out the project we will use Questionnaries,Face to face,Online and round table meetings,Research,Brainstorming methodologies. At the end of the project we will have;the logo, bookmark, hat and t-shirt,a handbook containing all the methods of the partner countries,a multilingual dictionary of common business terms, podcasts, writing a business plan and establishing an artificial company by the artificial bond funds,Erasmus corners.Furthermore, the subject and related activities of our project are not of two years, but of all times which should be promoted and stressed at all levels from primary school to university and beyond. For this purpose,we will add entrepreneurship to the curriculum and we will establish Young Entrepreneurs’ and Creative Drama Clubs for a long lasting effect of a new school culture in partner schools.By eTwinning, Facebook page,web-site of the project and you-tube channel which is accessible to everyone for five years, other teachers will also be able to take information about the entrepreneurship, use its products and make their own contributions to these pages if they want. After this project, all partner schools will be experienced in entrepreneurship,so this will improve their Erasmus+ management which will lead them to do new projects in the future.
