A better world. Start(s) with you!

Flemish and Dutch young adults between 12 and 14 years old (1st and 2nd year of secondary school) are becoming aware of their own possible contribution to a more durable world in their daily lives, at home and at school.
With Erasmus+ we want to optimally prepare this group of learners for a society in which ‘life-long-learning” and ‘a problem-solving way of thinking’ are necessities. The international context of our quickly changing society and the positive way of dealing with diversity and cultural differences are indispensable in this. Through international cooperation we try to meet these goals.

Using campaigns on both schools, we will make the learners think about (small-scale) actions for sustainable energy use and waste management at home and in school. They will manage these actions themselves (personal creations), measure the results (using a proposed measuring tool), and compare these results (through the e-Twinning platform). This will increase the learners’ insights, and influence their behaviour.
During this exchange, we would like to discover the similarities/differences between both schools on the fields of approach, execution, measured results, and effects. This will lead to learning opportunities for both schooling communities. The learners will also experience cultural and social differences between both countries
