Project Summary
CONTEXT.
Since 2015, IES Sierra de Mijas has been an international centre. Then was the first time IES Sierra de Mijas was involucrate in Erasmus+ programme. Since then, it has been growing and it participates in a few project, school education, superior education, adult education and now school interchange.
The actual project tries to bring closer two different cultures, Sweden and Spain, very far geographically, in the European border North and South. And, also, to have a global European perspective.
In the document “Plan de Centro”, the IES Sierra de Mijas establishes the intention to develop a projection abroad. The document gathers the needs of the quality development centre and internationalization, and shows the desire for an international projection.
In that document, is include the “European Development Programme”. In this program there are different needs, structure in four lines. These lines are shared with Sweden´s centre. Items are:
1. Learning foreign languages.
2. Methodological innovation and motivation.
3. International education.
4. Countries cooperation, experiential and methodological exchange.
The project matches the goals of the Programme Guide for KA229 projects.
Transnational work would be increased by an important network development. It helps by sharing ideas, experiences and methods. Furthermore, it would increase the value of a social and cultural heritage and it connect both countries. And it will do by uniting the culture and physical activity of both countries
GOALS
There are many objectives to get in the project, some of them:
Common goals: Improving language, communication and TIC abilities. Knowing new teaching methods, more useful and motivational. Getting a multicultural education.
Specific goals: Educative and cultural experiences exchange, knowing cultural heritage, Learning typical sports and games from the other country.
PARTICIPANTS.
– 20 Students, 16-19 ages, from IES Sierra de Mijas and Jämtlands Gymnasium Wargentin, Östersund.
-4 Teachers from both centres.
Indirectly, reception families, teachers who cooperate in different activities, other students which the same educative level, who will participate in the activities in their country.
ACTIVITIES
The main activity would be the exchange between students from Mijas and Sweden. With the accommodation in the houses of the other participants.
The activities plan will be:
– The selection of participants. It would follow a basic rules: impartiality, equality and clearly information.
– The participants training. Activities where students would know the project and the other culture. It would improve basic and language competences.
– The program activities design. Activities to get the goals. For example, cultural visit, sport activities, gastronomic and academic activities.
– The execution of the program and resources process.
– The project assessment and analysis of the result. With the corresponding dissemination.
METHODOLOGY.
It would be a participative methodology. The students would have the responsibility about the preparation and execution of the project.
RESULTS.
The link by Etwinning as a common project.
The coexistence between two European countries.
To know about the cultural heritage of the other country.
To improve competences.
The same project would be carried out at Etwinning, to support and to improve the results.
It would be expected an IMPACT in educative communities, like improve European community awareness, social values of respect and solidarity and a better knowing the culture of the other country.
That results, with this impact carry a benefit. The main BENEFITS are, centres would improve the educational development, and would be more international. And they will be closer to the European reality.
The internationalization is supported by the involvement in this KA229 project about scholar exchange.
The North and the South of Europe join together as the project is a link between the educative communities of both countries.
