Project Summary

Societies all over the world have been trying to solve the problem of discrimination for a long time .One of the solutions will be to educate people towards tolerance and acceptance since their childhood.

This project could be the way to lead young people towards these values through intercultural exchanges which will be a great opportunity for students and teachers to travel, learn languages, get to know multicultural society, respect the human rights and European values and accept different forms of diversity among us (racial, gender, cultural, age, minorities,…).

Two Short – term joint staff training events will help the participant teachers to get better in their proffession and be able to lead their students to become more tolerant individuals. Better language, IT, communication, organisation, interpersonal and social skills will help teachers in their future inernational project work.

Students will learn how to discover inner diversity as a source of creativity and richness inside everyone of us and promote tolerance towards the others.
The project aims to meet the needs of the schools which were researched before the application process.
The implementation of large scale of the project activities will lead to positive impact on personal, institutional, national and international level.

22 participants will take part in the mobility C2/Portugal, 22 students in the mobility C3/Italy, 21 students in the mobility C4/Spain. The activities of the project will be focused on the serious entire problem of tension resulting from discrimination. We will promote an awareness of the importance of cultural and linguistic diversity within Europe, as well as of the need to fight racism, prejudice and stereotypes. We will try to make provisions for learners with special needs and in particular by helping to promote their integration into mainstream education and training.

The students will research about discrimination and social status using various methods like interview, questionaries, research, observation to get to know and use IT – technology in general for planning, implementing, documenting and presenting the results and IT communication tools (chat, email, video, internet platform eTwinning) for commmunicating while working on the project.

Through workshops our students will create various products against discrimination, racism, towards tolerance like presentations, videos, multilingual dictionary, project´s anthem, multilingual book about the discriminated heroes, texts, posters/flyers, songs, paintings/drawings, mascot, logo, calendar,… which will help in better dissemination of the project results at school, in town and wider public. All the results (targible and untargible) will be involved into the curriculum of each school and used in educational process. This will lead to better educational results, getting university degree or a better job which will raise the living standard of the population in national and international level.
