Project Summary

Every educational system has the important role to provide good ideas such as respect,tolerance to their students.The main idea of the “Self-criticism,Empaty,tolerance and respect” is social empathy,because we consider it to be an essential part of taking responsabilities and helping other members of a community.The statistical answers of the SWOT analysis from the project partners made in Hungary,Spain,Turkey,Germany and Romania,are:
students are not used to work in teams;
students’ are not too tolerants with each other
many students are bullied in school or in the society
teachers must be updated by other EU educational systems;
schools must internationalise their curricula.
The evaluation documents has revealed that in every schoolsmost of the students have a tendency to disparity by creating gaps between them.According to the feedback reports done by each partner the bullying rate is of 55% in Hungary,47% in Spain,58% in Romania,42% Germany and 45% in Turkey.
Living in very strong competitive time, which so oftern turns out to be a market-based society, students must sometimes struggle to become number one or they have the impression to loose control or to be less worthy .Too many times for our students being alive means nothing that have more success than somebody else,and in the partners schools there were identified situations in which students were very affected by a huge pressure to prove their own value and challenge their friends .
We all agree that in an economical society competition is similar with innovation,productivity and progress, but from a psychological perspective,competition fosters especially social comparison,which increase the tendency to self-evaluate oneself by comparing us to others and to want a rich and superior position.Our students’ are young and they are living a challenging time,adolescence,this is why we are trying to create by this project a ground through where we emphasize the main role of positive social relationships.If we will teach our students how to reach healthier social-emotional skills,such as trust,empathy,team work,we believe that they will work in a better and productive way with their peers,letting go all kind of adversity or intolerance.
The main idea of our project is to promote human positive connections which will bring happiness,instead of competition which divides people.Even if competition is known as a way to improve effort-based learning,we also believe that our students must learn to work together,proving them by real life examples that living into this beautiful world is a result of a common work.According to this main idea,the activities we designed for our project are meant to provide to the students a better understanding of the tolerance manifestations,in order to become more flexible,to develop empathy skills and to prepare them to find their own special place in the community .
This project is created to make from the school culture and climate a priority,it promotes the ET 2020 objectives,EU values,social inclusion,non-discrimination and social responsibility.The project tackles stereotyping,segregation,racism and bullying.
The main project idea is to foster excellence in education by developing knowledge and competencies to ensure a socially empathic school setting. The main focus is to use social empathy to bridge different people and societies.
The general project aim is to increase participants’ awareness about the big role of social empathy in each educational system and in a multicultural world.
