Project Summary
Sharing the nature and culture heritage was the project that connected two very interesting countries. Croatia and Poland. During the project students had the opportunity to present their regions in terms of its value and diversity of the natural and geographical environment. In addition, students shared the knowledge concerning culture and areas in which they live. Project tasks were accomplished by performing presentations, quizzes, photo reports, videos, interviews and participation in different trips. The project was carried out in English language using ICT. All activities were shared with partner schools on the eTwinning platform. The platform was also used to maintain constant contact and some live sessions. By implementing the project, students discovered many similarities and differences in the natural environment of their countries. Participation in the project allowed to improve language skills and overcome barriers. It aroused interest not only in science and geography, but also in the culture of European countries. It contributed to increasing the awareness of European values and tolerance. Additionally, participation in the project improved the quality of work at school and contributed to the promotion of the school both in the local community and in Europe. Participating in the project definitely enhanced the education quality, introduced the international component in learning proces, provided greater interest in learning science and geography subjects, gave the opportunity not only to discover different country but also to explore its nature. The students learnt about their immediate environment and compared the results with those of another country, raising awareness of the political and geographical role of their town in the country and the European Union. The students developed their language competences and the staff was motivated to take new actions for the development of their students. The obtained results were made public through the website created on the e-Twinning platform, YouTube and posted on the Erasmus + Results Platform.
