Project Summary
The project “Music Bridges – Guitar Project Graz & Pleven” intends to intensively promote and create new horizons in a 24-months project framework through intensive exchange and learning phases of talented young guitarists from Austria and Bulgaria. Johann Joseph Fux Conservatory in Graz, Austria and the National School of Arts “P. Pipkov” in the Bulgarian city of Pleven are institutions with traditions in the education in the sphere of music and arts. Their history proves the essential importance of musical education for the cultural development of the European society. The impressive results of their students at world’s renowned musical scenes are also a proof of the devotion and professionalism of their musical pedagogues.
The international exchange of young musicians is an important aspect of their intented development as artists, along with practising, learning and performing. Researching and discovering new horizons abroad, could be a decisive and life changing experience for the musical students. With the exchange programme Erasmus + (KA 2) we would like to give our students the possibility to create new contacts, learn from their colleagues abroad and present them the culture of Austria and Bulgaria. Along with the professional training during the project we would like to teach them to communicate respectfully with each other, be empathetic and create an atmosphere of trust and friendship. This will stimulate their creativity and inspiration for becoming better musicians. Another important goal of this programme will be to research and compare the pedagogical methods in both countries. This particular process will lead to conclusions about the musical education in Eastern and Western Europe. The music teachers are going to discuss their points of view and didactic ideas. The results are going to be analysed, evaluated and applied for the future in the best way.
During the programme Erasmus+ we would like to make an exchange between the guitar teachers of Johann Joseph Fux Conservatory and the National School of Arts “P. Pipkov” in Pleven and their students
