Project Summary
Project coordinator Hacıkazımoğlu Primary School, with17staff, 5 -11 years of age, serving 288 students, who are able to keep up with the changing and changing world, aiming to raise individuals, for this purpose in various local projects and to carry out national e twinning projects , stem in which provides training on coding which is a tool used in teaching method is a primary school.
Despite all these studies, according to the data obtained from the pre-test results, the rate of application of innovative teaching methods in our school is 40%.We aim to increase this ratio with this project which we prepare with the content of good practices.In this context, in our project, which is composed of 6 partner countries in total, Europe 2020 is among the European basic criteria for promoting creativity and innovation, including entrepreneurship at all stages of education and training, including increasing the quality and efficiency of education and training, and for achieving these objectives. We have decided to work on innovative teaching methods with our stakeholders by taking into consideration the aims of providing 21st century skills to students and increasing the rate of foreign language learning and increasing the participation rate in European school network activities.
Our project partners;
Cafer Efe VTHL.(Turkey)It is a technical and vocational high school serving 410 students aged 14-18 with 53 staff.The school, which is very active in local and national projects, wants to increase the application rates of innovative teaching methods with this project.
Nuestra Señora de la Paz School(Spain)It is a semi-private school covering about 1100 students aged between 3 and 17 and about 100 teachers.The school takes part in local and national projects and applies innovative teaching methods.
Tudor Arghezi(Romania)It is a school with 75 staff serving 1121 students between 7-19 years of age.The school, which is very active in IT related projects, wants to increase the rate of innovative applications.
48 CD”Madre Claudia Russo School(Italy)It is a primary school with 80 staff, consisting of 9 kindergarten and 32 primary school classes.This school is very active in e twinning projects and is an e twinning school.It wants to be a mentor to all stakeholders.
2nd Primary School of Iraklia(Greece)It is a primary school serving 16 students with 200 students aged 6-12.It is a school that is very active in IT projects and participates in local and national projects.
As a result of the evaluation of the situation with our stakeholders, the rate of application of innovative teaching methods in our schools was found to be 50%.
Project Goals:
– Increasing the rate of application of innovative teaching methods by 50% to 70%
.- Breaking prejudices about the application of innovative teaching methods
.-The importance of coding method which is one of the tools used to gain the students of
-21.yy skills.- Today’s brainstorm, one of the most important tools for intellectual output, and its improved state, the hackathon competitions, are organized in schools according to levels.
In our project consisting of 5 countries and 6 partners,Turkey partners will implement the LTT program together.Other 4 countries will implement their own LTT programs.In our project, which consists of 5 transnational mobilities and 19 local activities, e twinning platform will be used at every stage of the implementation process
On Participants:Participants will be able to: Learn about coding, simple programming, data structure and algortima and coding techniques can be integrated into the courses, values education, life science mathematics, foreign language as a teaching tool to use … coding as a teaching tool with the implementation of these methods and techniques will increase the quality of education will be experienced.The participants will continue to participate in the European school network with their twinning projects, which they will continue to carry out after the project, and will have the opportunity to update and share their knowledge.
On schools: – To learn about computational thinking and coding. The awareness will increase.The Awareness will increase, students will develop cooperation and self-confidence. Learning environment will be enriched, advanced teaching tools, digital skills, advanced language competencies and transversal skills such as competences in foreign languages and communication will be improved – the rate of applying innovative teaching methods will increase.
-In the school-teacher-parent-student relations, the parents will be made part of the education – Innovative ideas will be created in the students and they will be included in the proactive education system. -In order to create new educational materials, hackathon competitions will be organized and integration will be provideded.
