Project Summary
The project is focused on assisting our students to become open minded, unprejudiced and responsible European citizens.
The main objective of this project is to make the students aware of their own cultural heritage as well as the cultural heritage of other European nations, in order to build bridges among different cultures. The students will not only be asked to reflect upon their national identities but will get to know the personal realities of students of other European countries in different areas such as science, art, literature, music and architecture. It will be mainly achieved through three mobilities. This intercultural reflection is supposed to broaden their horizons and help them develop an open minded attitude towards other nations and the UE membership. We also want our students to develop and improve their digital and language skills as well as to understand the advantages of working in a team.We are going to involve our students into making presentations on our cultural heritage (art, literature, music, dance, science, festivals and celebrations, legeds, famous people, famous places and their landmarks ect). There’s a number of tools and activities we are planning to use while working on the presentations to mention such digital tools as animoto.com, padlet.com, issuu.com or stripgenerator.com. It would create a great opportunity for our students to develop their IT skills. We are also going to involve them into activities focused on such topics as European values, tolerance
and cultural diversity in order to make them aware of such negative issues as xenophobia, extreme nationalism, hate speech ect. The students and teachers will present and publish their work on TwinSpace and project webpage. The final result will be an ebook created by using issuu.com and containing the most interesting and valuable information about each country’s cultural heritage. By involving our students into the project we would like to teach them that it is great to be a member of European community and to be an open, friendly and educated European citizen. We also hope that taking part in such a project will help our students develop their knowledge, interests, passions and talents.
