Project Summary

Our project is part of the relationship between two educational centers, one Spanish and one French, that are working during this course on an eTwinning project. The purpose of this project is to promote mutual knowledge and establish links between students throughout presentations related to their immediate environment: their school, their family, their locality …
We would like this eTwinning project to materialize in an Erasmus + next course. The main objectives will be:
– Know, study and disseminate elements of tangible, intangible and natural heritage of our regions.
– promote cultural and linguistic immersion in another civilization different from yours.
– promote the European dimension of the center and bring our students to the European reality as something concrete, lived through a real exchange in which students could get to know each other and live for a few days to share the results of their project on the regional heritage.
Therefore, the project includes 2 phases: a first one is theoretical work on heritage (October-March), and a second phase of student mobility and closure of the project (April-June). During the first phase, an investigation will be carried out on the selected patrimonial subjects and the accomplishment of information sheets about them, as well as the preparation of the presentation to the foreign students.
During the second phase, students will travel to the partner country to visit the patrimonial elements studied. During the stay they will stay in the families of their colleagues to live an immersion experience and put their communicative strategies into practice in a foreign language, as well as take advantage of the opportunity to visit the educational center and other points of interest.
The participating groups would be about 20 students, plus 2 accompanying teachers. The age of the students will be 14-15 years, 3rd year of ESO, because they are the groups that are developing the eTwinning project for this school year.
The results we hope to obtain are:
– Carry out a first exchange to overcome the reluctance of families, who have shown themselves reluctant to this project on previous occasions.
– show students the possibilities of personal, academic and work mobility within Europe.
– make the image of our educational centers more attractive to students and families, who value this type of projects very positively.
We believe that these results can be maintained in the long term, especially that of establishing exchange in our centers in a fixed manner, as an irreplaceable learning tool.
