Project Summary
It is the internet and its related areas that the modern era has the fastest impact on society. In the light of many formal research and surveys, modern loneliness is primarily observed in schools. Students feel themselves alone in a virtual crowd. Internet addiction has also changed the understanding of combat and competition among students. Modern loneliness has taken the concept of right and wrong from the society and it has constricted them into virtual social networks. For this reason, peer-to-peer communication can move away from a healthy point and turn into cyberbullying and physical violence.
Although there are studies about this subject in our schools, unfortunately, it is insufficient. Our teachers do not know how to detect and cope with this problem. At this point;
• Firstly, technology addiction and modern forms of struggle with loneliness should be examined and a common study aims to contribute to the society.
• It is known that these kinds of problems in different EU countries are experienced in different rates, and the need to share and exchange mutual good practices and to produce common solutions has become important through society.
Some of the main objectives of our project are:
• To identify technology and internet addiction in education and discover methods of using internet correctly,
• To be able to discover the signs of loneliness and modern loneliness in the Virtual Crowd and to be able develop solutions.
• To share international cooperation and solution methods to reduce bullying and cyber bullying in school,
• To recognize the stages of technological dependence and the transformation of modern loneliness into bullying and to understand the methods of preventing this transformation in education.
• To develop educational approaches to using Internet consciously,
• Analyze the scientific approaches and methods used in combating these problems in European partner countries,
• Mutual transfer of good practices through a common pool of solutions to be established with the partner countries,
The effective implementation and practice of the project work will be as follows:
• To develop and disseminate separate problem detection surveys and solution methodologies that can be applied jointly by the participating countries in the subjects of technology addiction, modern loneliness, conscious internet use, bullying in school and cyber bullying.
• To identify common materials about Conscious use of the Internet that can be used in education process ,
• To be able to analyze the causes of modern loneliness jointly and to determine the factors that fight against this problem through education.
• To determine possibilities of technology addiction and modern loneliness into bullying and to produce preventing methodologies of them in education process.
Our main target groups are our primarily students and teachers. Completing professional updates on these problems by our teachers and decreasing the common behaviors of the students is the focus of our work.
dissemination and follow-up of our project is 24 months from the first transnational meeting. Some of our follow-up activities to be used in our works are as follows:
These are project preparation preliminary tests and reports, readiness and motivation questionnaires and project daily reports of the teachers and students, project web site works. We also have some activities to support the promotion of the project at the local level, where our teachers and students will participate.
– Reading activities with student groups
– Theater group and staging activities
– Cultural and social visits (Nursing home, nursing home visits)
– Local educational activities. (Research and social responsibility tasks)
– Environmental activities (Tree planting, environmental cleaning)
– School and local level peer games, competitions
For our project, a web page will be created for each of the participating countries and the studies and results will be made available to the community. Local and national news about our project will be made and social awareness will be increased.
