Project Summary

We aim with this project to let teachers use their trainings with students and parents in a more effective process and increase teaching information technologies in school environment; to increase students’ competence in this field, to create awareness on digital thinking among students, teachers and parents. Teachers will learn different teaching methods techniques on the same subject by collaborating with teachers in their home countries and abroad; they will develop personal, vocational and social aspects interacting intercultural. While students develop their digital thinking abilities, they will find opportunities to exibit their robotic designs withing up country and abroad. They will both improve their English speaking skills and self confidience while they make their presentations in English.

Our Goals
To increase teaching capacity of partner schools,
To increase students’ competence on information technologies,
To contribute students’ 21th century skills,
To create teaching environments for teachers to use and increase their competence, to provide job satisfaction,
To develop ability so that they lead their students by providing families to have idea on digital thinking,
To develop students’ self confidience by enabling them to teach other individuals,
To give chance to students for presenting and developing their designs,
To have opportunity to pass from consumer society to producer society,
To provide students to hold view on how they can shape their futures,
To prevent technology addiction,
To develop students’ social, cognitive and language skills

The factual output which we will acquire at the end of the project:
Arduino teaching plan for students
Two local science and robotics expo
A brochure aimed at Arduino and learning coding for teachers including their instructions and students designs, ( This brochure will be prepared both printed and digitally and will also be used for dissemination
Arduino lessons with parents,
The video recordings of students teaching Arduino at home,
Student Robotik designs,
Twinspace will be created in which two years of Arduino lessens and syllabuses are published
Website inculuding LTT and local activities, videos
Project promotion video to be used for dissemination.

As indicated in the timetable of project, project twin area will be used as distance learning environment by uploading various materials and learning scenarios on robotics and coding using Arduino to etwining project twin field. In addition to this activity, every partner school will put Arduino lessons into practice by planning themselves. Students who attend lessons both at Twin area and their schools will be expected to design robotics device which finds a solution to a problem. While students develop their own designs, math, science, social signs, art teachers will help students designs in case students need Students will be able to present and develop the devices they designed on both local and international platforms While LTTs offers us international platforms, local science expos which will be organised withing school will enable student who could not attend LTTs to present. Additionally, families of these students will attend weekly Arduino lessons 4 times for every term and trainings, they also will be provided to have view on the subject. Besides, for specified activities students will be asked for activities with their parents and for video recording. There will be technology free activities such as outdoor sports, cultural trips every month for students to avoid them from technology addiction. Throughout the project 2 Code Week ( at the beginning of October) and 2 safe Internet week will be celebrated. Any kinds of digital and social media devices to disseminate the project will be put in place. Videos of lessons, design displays, LTT pictures will be uploaded and shared on e Twinning, Project Website, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube channel. The dissemination of our project will be enabled by attending their competitions at Robotics and coding festivals held within country, province and town with students’ Robotics designs which will occur at the end of the project.

Throughout the project 5 LTTS are planned. The aims of these LTTs are to know and share the digital teaching methods applied by partner schools, to enable students’ presentations and robotics & coding devices on an international platform. Host countries will organize workshops related to tasks which share responsibilities. Participating students will improve their self confidence and their personal traits by introducing their countries, cities and schools on international platform. We also aim to support students’ social and linguistic skills by participating various cultural activities.
