Project Summary

CARES, which lasts 24 months, arises from the need for a greater internationalization by schools; hence the need for Partners to improve their backgrounds lacking in networking and the need to bring young Europeans closer to artistic culture and make them understand the function of cinema as a driver for the development and promotion of the territory, all through the use of English and innovative ICT approaches.
The 2Schools coming from Italy and Poland will focus on 3 topics:
1. Creativity and culture;
2. International cooperation, international relations, development cooperation;
3. ICT-new technologies-digital competences.
The main objective is to allow young generations to approach the contemporary art as way to promote the territory.
Other goals:
Increase the sense of initiative and international dimension of schools;
Increase basic skills;
Increase the level of digital competence;
Greater understanding and responsiveness to social, ethnic, linguistic and cultural diversity; Active participation in European society and promotion of social inclusion of disadvantaged students;
Greater knowledge of Erasmus+ and European values;
Better understanding of practices, policies and systems in the education sectors in the countries involved;
Better understanding of the interconnections between formal, non-formal and informal education;
Increase future opportunities for professional development of young people;
Increased motivation and satisfaction in daily school work;
Contribute, with participation in alternative activities to classical teaching (mobility + local activities), to the active participation of young people and make them feel European citizens linked by common values;
Contribute to the reduction of early school leaving;
Strengthen quality in education and improve teachers’ professionalism;
Promote mobility as an opportunity to meet and exchange experiences among young people in the context of a large multi-ethnic reality and working on the dissemination of European values (peace, brotherhood and international cooperation).
Participants will be 25 students (15-17 years old) from each school, and 2 teachers + 1 assistant from each school.
The participants’ profile will be composed by students, teachers, assistants, families and volunteers. The main activities will be student mobilities:
-Short-term joint staff training events in Jabłonna (Poland) and Vignanello (Italy);
-Short-term exchanges of groups of pupils in Vignanello (Italy), in Jabłonna(Poland).
Local activities: Selection of the respective participants during a local preparatory meeting, with the following program: Presentation of CARES and website, distribution of the questionnaire;
Organization of theme shows, open days, workshops, seminars, screenings, debates and meetings;
Selection of 1 group leaders and volunteers with technical/educational skills.
Mentoring/support for young people during the 24 months.
Methodology: Experimentation of unconventional and innovative pedagogical/didactic methodologies (web learning, laboratory-operative method, experimental research-investigative method, action-heuristic-participatory research, mastery learning) using English and ICT to promote the cult of art. The laboratory and active type methodology will be based on the students’ real life, on their experience, on the cultural/socio-economic fabric in which they live.
Results and expected impact:
Approach to the artistic culture of students, even disadvantaged ones;
Promotion of territories through the approach to artistic culture;
Improvement of student learning within normal school curricula;
Improved quality of the lessons to be offered to the students, both from a linguistic and a pedagogical point of view;
Transferring the concepts learned by the students during the participation to the mobility, to their peers and families;
Transferring the concepts and experiences learned by teachers, both during students’ supervision and during staff events, to their respective school managers, colleagues and schoos staff;
Use of the eTwinning platform;
Better prospects for internationalization and greater sense of initiative towards future cooperations;
Improved multilingualism of teachers/students;
Increased intercultural awareness and greater active participation in society, including volunteers;
Better knowledge of the Erasmus + Program;
Increased motivation of students and teachers to take part in a future formal/non-formal education/training after the end of CARES.

Planning of future project proposals.
