Project Summary
Nowadays, children have been spending most of their free time on computer games. This affects their health in a negative way. Before that, they used to play outdoor games together and did not use to eat fast food.So they were healthier and more athletic and only rarely overweight. The number of obese children increases more and more because of their spending so much time in front of the computer or TV.
The aim of the project is to keep away our pupils from the obesity by having right eating habits, by taking them out of their room, by trying to beat their computer/telephone addiction and by encouraging them to do more physical activities and eating right. Moreover, we aim to create a conscious society which becomes aware of a healthy living/lifesyle. This project will also improve the linguistic competence and the social abilities of our students.
The idea of the project will be to make students communicate among each other. They can work easily in class or extra-curricular within the project and then they can see the impact of their activities when they share the results with their European partners.
It will also mean new friends, new culture and new values, self-esteem and much creativity.
We and our students especially want to know more about different cultures and people from other countries. So it is very important for us to have an international exchange.
All of the participant schools will have an irreplaceable meeting point which contacts, exchanges and influences of cultures have been possible.
As the coordinating school is located in a deprived area with mines closing and pleaple losing their jobs, the opportunities are few. Our students are from 5th grade to 8th grade, age of 10 to 15. Some of our students have low academic success and a lot of financial problems.
