Project Summary
This Erasmus project is linked to the Europe 2020 Strategy, the ET2020 Strategy and the Bruges Communiqué. Its main objective is to form an active, responsible and socially integrated citizenship which aims to overcome all forms of discrimination through the digital technology, in our countries and in Europe. The main objective of this project is to develop a new type of comprehensive and multidisciplinary education through the use of digital technology, fostering cooperative learning in an active and participatory way, sharing knowledge through the network in equal conditions; The project focuses on the use of digital tools to develop multiple intelligences both in the classroom and in the new virtual contexts for learning that have emerged in today’s society. This project is focused on innovation, methodological change in the classroom and the development of digital competences that involves the change of roles of teachers and students to achieve a more inclusive education and to improve the social integration. We want to achieve changes in the classroom, in the school, in our societies and in Europe. This project works on European digital literacy for all the agents involved in the educational process, not only students, but also teachers, the educational community and families.
These are our main topics: Innovative practices in a digital era, gender equality/equal opportunities and inclusion social.
This project placing the student as the main character in front of the technologies, giving him the possibility to create, invent and share in a reflexive way, change the role of mere consumer user. For this, methodologies based on problems and experiential situations will be included, connected with the real life of the student and that also propitiate the active construction of knowledge. Not only to know digital programs but also to collaborate and participate in global social networks in a safe way, and for that they need to develop a critical thinking for making daily decisions, forming opinions and being an active european citizenship that bet for the resolution of problems in a peaceful way, in multicultural, technified and highly complex democratic societies.
It is a multidisciplinary project that involves students from 14 to 16 years old, secondary schools and all curricular areas: Digital programs applied to the different areas, online learning platforms, digital resources for the realization of tasks of various subjects, creation of materials, knowledge and safe use of the Internet and other devices such as mobile phones and tablets, new subjects as robotics and 3D printing, adapting schools to data protection regulations.
The vehicular language of this project is English; digital and linguistic competences are developed jointly in the planned activities, such as the creation of a personal blog, collaborative writing workshops in English, online questionnaires, creation of conceptual maps of teaching units, recording of videos, interactive books, collection of infographics of different subjects searching and selecting information, creation of games with various digital tools, activities to generate QR codes, comics, Digital music and arts, research works, presentations and forums of current topics like : e-Safety, environment, responsible consumption, human rights, gender equality…
We want to obtain material results like web and blog of the project, School campaigns, conceptual maps, video-clips, comics, infographics, games, QR codes, questionnaires, magazines, collaborative writings, personal blog, rap with dance, shared presentations; And strategic results like to improve the idea and the management of digital tools, to improve the English, to improve academic performance, to make aware of the security in internet, to encourage moral values, to promote tolerance and cooperation against xenophobia and any type of discrimination, to get intercultural knowledge about different lifestyles, to improve the fair communication by internet
We hope this project will produce long-term benefits like the contribution to digital literacy within the process of change and transformation that society is suffering as a result of the application of digital technologies to all areas of daily life; Knowing and using digital tools applied to education; Improving our school facilities: building the classroom of the future , new pedagogy approaches, adapting our schools to the demands of the 21st century; Making new plans to fight against the school failure to get better academic results using digital technologies.
All this to transform education and train students, teachers, educational community and families, as European citizens integrated and prepared to work and participate in new digital societies, multicultural and interconnected worldwide, betting on coexistence and peace
