Project Summary
The project “Take your backpack and come with me!” is an opportunity for all of us for self-development in a joint international group. The idea of admiring the beauty and potency of the closest area has gathered schools from Poland, Italy, Spain, Macedonia, Romania and Greece. Our group is very large because of multiply students and numerous group of local environment recipients. We are very diverse but this is a huge advantage of our activities. The smallest school has got 200 students, and the largest is around 1500 big. We come from completely different cultures. There are many migrants among us. Teachers are people who value international cooperation and although not everyone has experience in this, they want to improve. Our common goal above all is to shape young European citizens in the spirit of perseverance and overcoming their own borders. We are concerned about how children become addicted to mobile phones and computers. They do not notice how many interesting things you can do outside. We have the impression that nowadays young people spend their free time at home where they exist only in social media, being isolated from their families and friends who simply don’t have time for them. Together, we want to give them the reason to leave the house and show them that the beautiful surrounding area where they live, gives them great opportunity to spend time actively with real friends. Due to the international cooperation, we intend to show them the beauty of Europe, especially of the highland territory. Gaining our common goals will show them that they can also achieve their goals, they can be single-minded, they are responsible for other people and they can cooperate. Step by step, they will believe that they create the real world and they are part of the beautiful culture heritage which they create too. Our project will be based not only on skills in the field of geography, but will
also include such areas as: physical education, ICT, biology, history, foreign languages, knowledge about the first aid and care for your health and cultural education. We know that technological progress is inevitable, so we are going to show the beauty of Europe to teach children responsible use of electronic equipment through: creating films, photos, reports and interactive trekking routes.
To enable students to contact each other, we will organize videoconferences, common athletics competitions, partner days, exchange of correspondence, or having a common blog. We hope that our project showing some beautiful corners of Europe, will interest our students and perhaps engender many future trips or friendships. We want to show our students what are outdoor lessons and convince teachers to go outside and organize practical lessons also after the end of the project.
