Project Summary
Effective communication and cooperation skills in the project unite 5 European schools from: Greece, Romania, Latvia, Bulgaria and Turkey.
We will strive for better mutual cooperation and communication, as this will increase the tendency to work and will create even greater trust among people, thus encouraging them to help and give their support.
Through the use of modern teaching techniques and learning tools brought by modern society in the 21st century, we have succeeded to create a unique project whose focus is mainly on developing creativity, co-operation and the acquisition of critical thinking. Also, through this project we want to show how communication is an important element in everyday life. Communication is a process of continuous growth, the ability for critical self-reflection, deep respect, cooperation and the ability of people to connect and communicate with each other.
Globally, you can notice a visible gap between theoretical schools and the need for a practical part that employers require in their firms. It is precisely because of this that it is important for students to know how to achieve successful communication links and how to approach different people in different circumstances, how to express their personal opinion and attitude and how to present their skills and qualities in front of other people. Communication skills are a prerequisite for successful involvement of teenagers of different ages and of different socio-cultural backgrounds. The awareness that will be encouraged among students is a great step that brings them closer to achieving the desired goal.
The project team will help students acquire communication skills, which will help them to gain experience for their easier employment. The main goal of the project is to improve the communication skills of students.
The specific objectives of the project are:
– To raise awareness of the need for communication skills among 250 students coming from 5 EU schools, during this 2-year project.
– To observe the communication process between students from these 5 schools.
– Improving students’ communication skills (presentations, public speeches, cross-culture, intercultural communication), by exchanging their personal experiences or examples of everyday life.
– Encourage students to use ICT
The project was created on the basis of the following 5 sub-phases: verbal and non-verbal communication, barriers in communication, visual communication and digital communication. These 4 sub-phases will help us to get the following concrete results:
• Questionnaires
• Erasmus + angles
• Project Start
• Presentations by project partners
• 1 theatrical performance
• 1 e-booklet
• 5 time capsule settings
• 5 presentations “Communicating for understanding”
• 1 track
• 1 calendar
• 1 exhibition “Create and communicate”
• 5 Digital Stories “My Country’s Contribution to European Cultural Heritage”
• 1 Travel Guide
• 2 web pages of the project
• Promotional materials: flyers, bookmarks
• DVD from the activities of the project itself
The project is planned to last 2 school years, 5 short-term exchanges of groups of students from Greece, Romania, Latvia, Bulgaria and Turkey.
The project will include students (13-18 years), teachers, local community, stakeholders and local media. The project will include a total of 250 students (50 pupils / school), attendance at local level, 125 pupils (25 pupils / school) will attend international meetings, along with 50 teachers (10 teachers / school).
Activities will be organized through which mutual trust and cooperation will be established between the participants in the team (eg Games of the City, blind eye games, team solving of problems, etc.).
The participants will be helped to express themselves more clearly and how to accurately present their views and opinions as an essential factor for clear communication and presentation. A direct interaction between EU students will be established through presentations, group activities, arts and intercultural activities that will help the participants to understand the importance of communication and how it works in other EU schools.
Through the project, I want to enable the participants to strengthen their communication skills, so that they can more easily exchange personal and cultural experiences, develop their oratory skills, have public speeches, acquire presentation skills, as well as intercultural and communication skills and competencies .
During the creation of the project itself, we came to the benefits that we will have from the same in the long term. It is noteworthy that we emphasize that the school curriculum will be able to raise them to an international, contemporary level, and thus we also increase the quality of the educational process itself. With the promotion of schools, students and employees in the same will have the opportunity for personal upgrading and greater motivation for work and inclusion in various activities.
