We start from the Union of two European centres: the Conservatory of music “Manuel Carra”, with a complete range of instrumental specialities: all symphonic musical instruments, singing, piano, guitar, organ and flamenco guitar (it is the only conservatory of Malaga that teachs these two latest specialities). Two types of certifications are expedited. The other center is the Istituto técnico “Carlos Alberto Dalla Chiesa “, is a technical high school that provides a broad theoretical education and a highly qualified specialization in specific fields of study. The integration of students with special educational needs and teachers committed to music education, stands out in this centre
The main motivation that moves us is to create international collaborative educational networks that enable students and participating teachers, training experiences and mobility with schools in Europe. Also with this project we want to transmit to the different European countries, the educational value of the art and of the music in Sicily and in Spain as well as the points of Union of both cultures.
As previous experiences to emphasize that in the call Erasmus+ 2017-18, the Spanish Center presented a project KA102, which was approved, without financial assistance. Also in November 2018, it was the host institution of a Letonian centre. In November 2019, it hosted several teachers from an Estonian Institute, in another Erasmus activity. On the other hand Sicilian center, has experience in Comenius projects and currently develops an Erasmus+ project.
