Project Summary

Our project is aimed to people with intellectual disabilities. It is a response to the observed phenomenon of new threats arising from the use of the Internet, mobile phones and being in a virtual space by people with disabilities.
We have set the following project goals:
– indicating to people with disabilities the risks of staying in the virtual world (dissemination of harmful content, dangerous online contacts, cyberbullying, cybercrime and addiction) as well as harmful content that can be found on the Internet, relate to promotion of violence, drugs, gambling, sex, suicides, racism and xenophobia – in the form available to people with intellectual disabilities
– an indication of the threats posed by salesmen, consultants proposing commercial, banking transactions via telephone and online
– raising the level of knowledge of disabled people about electronic payments, by credit card, online payments
– developing an appropriate form of information about threats and how to deal with them
– creating a tool for conducting workshops / classes / meetings with people with intellectual disabilities ( short drama scenarios / an interactive presentation scenario with the participation of the viewer).
Threats coming from the virtual world concern disabled people regardless of gender, age or nationality. These are global problems faced by less and more developed countries. International cooperation will allow you to look at the aforementioned phenomena from various points of view and find more effective ways to reach people with disabilities and make them aware of the dangers lurking in the virtual world (telephone, computer, Internet).
