Project Summary

The topic of Industry 4.0 in schools is very important for the whole of Europe. In the German vocational school system, many considerations have already been made on the implementation in the classroom, not least due to the establishment of the learning factories in Baden-Wuerttemberg. The Erasmus + project INDU 4.0 (Industrial Interaction 4.0) made it possible to exchange these ideas with our European partners.
The aim of the INDU 4.0 project was, as a first step, to introduce the learners to the term Industry 4.0 and to bring it to life. In the second step, competencies were imparted which are up-to-date and useful in both Industry 4.0. In communicating knowledge, great importance has been placed on providing learners with the requirements of lifelong learning in the rapidly evolving industry. The lessons use modern methods and techniques.
The Erasmus + project INDU 4.0 involves three vocational schools in the field of automation technology (Germany, Spain and Portugal are represented), as well as the company Pilz, which has developed an Industry 4.0 demonstration plant, and the State Institute for School Development.
