Project Summary

The pressure to continue to develop continuously increases in our knowledge society today. The rapid development of technologies and the immense annual growth of new knowledge stocks make it imperative in many areas to continue to qualify alongside the profession. In addition to classic offline training, e-learning is becoming ever more important. What does digitization mean for adult education and, in particular, the educationally far-sighted participants of the future? Several training providers in Europe have been involved in the design of educational programs for some time now. In our project “Digital Education for Abroad Educational Participants”, we want to bring together different European actors involved in integration, education and e-learning to develop the ideas for developing a school platform for non-affiliated and disadvantaged young people in order to make them accessible. Electronic learning is a comparatively young way of providing teaching that is still in its infancy in many ways. However, with the increasing popularity of digital media, the general acceptance of such forms of learning is also increasing. Because they offer, in addition to all novelty, undeniable advantages:
– Time and place independence (E-learning offers maximum flexibility in terms of time and space.) In contrast to traditional classroom training, users are not bound by fixed dates, but can divide the course according to their resources one’s own rhythm without having to coordinate with lecturers or other participants)
– Cost savings (While only a small group of participants can participate in offline training sessions, the number of users of electronic courses is basically unlimited, so a program license can be used for all employees of a company Planning and execution of the training)
– Standardized quality (Due to the one-time provision of the respective e-learning program, there are basically no variations in the quality of the teaching.) The success of the respective measure no longer depends on the form of the lecturer, which is why the choice of the appropriate electronic course offers a consistent quality is guaranteed)
– Interactivity (Depending on the program, interactive modules such as videos or animated content can be integrated, as well as the provision of tests and learning progress checks at the end of a lesson can significantly increase long-term learning and motivation)
– Multilingualism (Depending on the programming, the same e-learning module can be presented in different languages, which allows greater individuality and user-friendliness, especially in international companies, compared to traditional training, which in most cases uses a central base language)
