Project Summary
The MUTOIPEH project is part of the general policy of the nations involved in the construction of the European Union by taking into account the difficulties of people at the national level and the extension of these problems on a European scale. The common assessment of the difficulties of the individuals who evolve in the European area and in an ultra peripheral region situated in the West Indies arc, at 7000km is a will to build together beyond and especially with differences.
Living together is difficult to conceive when one observes the tensions, the rejections, the wars that are daily relayed in the media. The fear of others breeds these plagues. The fear of the other is often the consequence of the unaccepted difference. Disability, visible or not, as soon as it is perceptible, becomes the cause of rejection. We have assembled our thoughts to pool our efforts to propose solutions that can help this audience to integrate into a society becoming more and more individualistic. The countries participating in this project are embarking on the challenge of transforming mini-companies: school, association, reception center ….
The main objective is to promote the inclusion of young people with disabilities.
This requires:
– Recognize and respect the life of the disabled person in what she does.
– Allow access to all in the areas of life: education, health, sport and leisure, culture, art, citizenship exercises.
– Get people with disabilities to say something through music and theatrical expression.
This work will be possible thanks to the skills of the stakeholders as we specified in the quality of the persons responsible for the implementation of the project and its follow-up. Preparatory activities, disability-related adult research and learning activities, local equality projects, transnational project meetings, monitoring, evaluation and dissemination activities. The methodology used for the project will be implemented according to 4 phases: initiation phase, planning phase, execution phase and control phase.
The main results of the project will be: study of disability, its forms and peculiarities by partner country, experimental learning workshop “Hand in hand”.
The project will have an impact at local, regional and European level, raising awareness of disability issues at a global level and trying to improve knowledge and change attitudes towards target groups.
We hope that the project will inspire and motivate other educators and the general public to intensify their work to engage youth and adults with different kinds of disabilities in the educational process and extracurricular activities of a given reality.
