Project Summary

The partner organizations work daily on youth information on international mobility opportunities, organize activities, we have information points, we make visibility on networks … The information is there, but it does not reach its recipients. Whether due to infoxication, ignorance of its existence or how to find reliable information, due to the inappropriate use of communication channels … in the end, a large part of the youth population is out of the game and only a minority (generally more affluent and better socio-economic situation) access resources again and again.

Therefore, with this project we set ourselves a general objective that we urgently need to cover in all our entities: improve the information systems and channels on youth mobility so that they reach the youth population of our communities, especially those with fewer opportunities, in an appropriate and effective way.

In turn, our general objective is established in the following specific objectives:
– Detect, together with the youth population, the most appropriate ways for information on mobility to reach the target groups.
– Share successful experiences of youth information.
– Test new ways to inform and analyze their effectiveness.
– Train teams to implement effective youth information services that really reach the target population.

In order to meet our objectives, we will implement surveys and focus groups with young people in order to obtain the appropriate and high-value information on the subject on which to base the next steps of the project. With this, we will work on testing new ideas and analyzing their results. All this we will share in a seminar in which to work on good practices, see possible transfers of experiences and create new tools and materials. With all this, the effectiveness of the innovations will be tested at the local level to finally draw conclusions and share the results of everything learned.

In this process we will involve more than 1300 young people (13 to 30 years old) of very diverse profiles, but with special emphasis on young people with fewer opportunities, from all our communities. We will also involve people who work with young people and who play a very important role in the information process.

All the process and the actions that are developed will be based on non-formal education, an active and participative methodology, that adapts to the concrete and real needs of the people, attractive and effective to achieve our objectives.

In the end, we hope to improve the systems and information channels on youth mobility so that they reach the youth population of our communities, especially those with fewer opportunities, in an adequate and effective way. And for them, we will generate materials that the people in charge of these tasks can use to make them better trained. This will imply a greater impact on the young population, as they will know more opportunities at their reach on mobility.
