Project Summary
Development of a Supportive Framework for Young Roma People Entrepreneur (Y-Support) Project consists in a Strategic partnership of 5 partner organizations from 5 European countries: Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Spain and Greece all sharing a vision towards increasing the young Roma people entrepreunership potential. The project will be a transnational one coordinated by the Romanian partner REDI.
This project main aim is to support the development of a framework, tools and methods for increased entrepreneurship skills of young people, especially of Roma people and to build their capacity to come up with business ideas and their determination to pursue their endeavours through instruments that can be used directly by themselves or through training modules and techniques designed especially for their support.
Within this broad aim,the main project objectives are:
O.1:Provide an innovative approach of entrepreneurship education of young people in general, and young Roma people in particular;
O.2:Create an entrepreneurship toolkit for young Roma entrepreneurs to empower them and increase their success chances;
O.3:Raise the capacity of youth workers or trainers in entrepreneurship to deliver trainings adapted to the specific needs of young people through training module creation
O.4:Provide new attractive entrepreneurship education materials for young people;
O.5:Improve the entrepreneurial competences of 25 young people and offer to 15of them the opportunity to present their business ideas in front of various stakeholders,potential investors and other Roma business environment representatives
At the end of the project there will result 3 innovative Intellectual Outputs all aimed at increasing the young people, and especially the young Roma people competences, entrepreneurial spirit and motivation, collaboration skills and ability to create an own business plan and present it in front of large audiences.
The three project intellectual outputs are:
1. An entrepreneurship toolkit for young people with special focus on Roma people needs for developing their own businesses.
2. A training module to promote employment and entrepreneurship among young ROMA, especially focusing on Social and Solidarity Economy
3. A set of videos and tutorials on how to grow your business as a young person and especially as a young person from a disadvantaged community.
During the project there will be organized an 8 days (including travel) youth blended mobility activity attended by 25 young people from the 5 countries, out of which at least 15 young Roma People. During the mobility activity the young people will create their own business plans out of which 15 business plans will be selected to be presented at the Multiplier event -International Youth Roma Entrepreneur Fair in Romania in front of mixed audience formed by local authorities, investors and business representatives, as well as other young participants.
