Project Summary

The main aim of Permacultura Cantabria, Oriel, Bibliotec and Terram in the project is to empower youth workers and young people with tools for the creation of sustainable projects being respectful with our planet, with our society and with themselves. In this project we will create the PEAS Methodology composed of different tools that will make youngsters create sustainable projects. We consider young entrepreneurs not should focus only in profitability but have a high commitment and respect with the Earth, Society and themselves. For this reason, the PEAS Methodology will be composed of 4 pillars with different tools:P: Prevention of Climate ChangeE: Entrepreneurship and project designA: AwarenessS: Social ActivismEntrepreneurship initiatives are not enough and there is still a lot of work to do in Europe towards this issue as, according to Eurostat, there have been a constant number of youth entrepreneurs in these years. The Missing Entrepreneurs 2017 demonstrates entrepreneurship skills is one of the most frequently cited barriers to successful business creation. As a result of an analysis of our countries, young people, youth workers and our organisations we found needs that this project is able to cover. In consequence, we will carry out the following activities:10-day Training in Colombia: Will be for our youth workers in which each organisation will share tools, methodologies and best practices in each of the 4 pillars.Teaching manual Creation: After acquiring these new best practices, tools and methodologies Permacultura Cantabria will combine them creating the PEAS Methodology which will be explained in a Teaching manual.10-day Youth Exchange in Spain: Permacultura Cantabria will transfer this methodology to the young participants. Also this mobility will be useful for the evaluation of the efficiency of the PEAS Methodology and teaching manual developed. The participants who attended the training in Colombia and the youth exchange in Spain will carry internal workshops to apply the Methodology acquired. They will contact and select young people within their communities and organisations, looking forward to incorporating youngsters with fewer opportunities to foster their social inclusion. To raise awareness of the importance of the development of new sustainable projects in the youth and entrepreneurship communities, we will carry out a dissemination campaign including 1 conference in each country, meetings with stakeholders, etc. With this project the organisations involved will be pioneers in the creation of an entrepreneurial methodology that is committed with the environment, society and the entrepreneur him/herself.We also expect the participants acquire all the skills and tools provided by the PEAS Methodology and are able to create and manage sustainable projects being respectful with the Earth, society and themselves and, especially for the integration and inclusion of youngsters with fewer opportunities.
