Project Summary

The general objective of the project is to promote entrepreneurschip among students in Bangladesh in order to enhance their employability. The specific objectives of the project are the following four elements: 1. The entrepreneurial competencies building course will shape hard business skills such as recognizing the market, preparing a business plan, attracting investors or protecting intellectual property. But, it is also very important that the course will shape soft skills necessary for every entrepreneurial graduate, namely: cooperation in multi-disciplinary teams, leadership, product design and services based on customer strategy development. 2. Establishing a support structure at each Bangladeshi partner HEI in form of an Entrepreneurship Center. In our understanding an Entrepreneurship Center means the first contact point for students at the university. The expectation ist that those center work like a small Entrepreneurship office with trained academic staff on Entrepreneurship topics where the students will get coaching on their business ideas.3. Establishing an Entrepreneurship promotion network of HEIs in the Khulna district. The intention of this network is to promote Entrepreneurship topics in the whole district on the local government level as well as to raise visibility the network partner HEIs.4. Establishing of a Crowd-sourcing platform. In cooperation with the ADVANCED HEIs a Crowd-sourcing platform will bundle ressources in the Khulna district in one digital place. Therefore, lowering the transaction costs and help solving the resource allocation problem Entrepreneurs and start-ups have.
