Project Summary

The main objective of the Performers2 – SCENE project is to provide organizations working with disadvantaged youths with an effective, transnational training methodology to reinforce pedagogical skills and competences of their educational staff, enabling them to deal with the difficulties of youngsters, and help their social integration. Effectiveness of sociodrama has already been proven by scientific and policy research, sociodrama has already had existing training programs in Britain and in Portugal and the method is practiced also in other European countries. MPE started a partnership building in 2016 for sociodrama knowledge transfer and now the association is ready to develop its own training program and can also become the catalyst of a European standardization process. During the 38 months long project among other results two Sociodrama Handbooks (in English and in Hungarian) were published, a proposal of European training standard for sociodrama was developed, a sociodrama training program has been accredited in Hungary, sociodrama was implemented int he work of youth detention centers.
