Project Summary
The project reflects social needs and European priorities. The main objective has been broadening the competences of graduates of formal education and innovate VET content, thereby improving vocational training by linking development, research, and educational activities to secondary schools. The scope of extending competences covers the area of diagnostics and repairs of CMV hybrid drives with emphasis on the environmental aspect and adherence to specific OSH conditions (health and safety at work). The main objective of the project has been transferring innovation in the field of repair technologies of hybrid car drives from organizations engaged in technology development to the formal VET system (vocational education and training). The scope of the extension of competencies has encompassed the area of diagnostics and repairs of CMV hybrid drives with emphasis on the environmental aspects and adherence to specific OSH conditions (health and safety at work). Our activities have focused at achieving international standards for charging infrastructures, education in schools, teaching new skills and knowledge in educational establishments. The project was aimed at promoting workforce training for the emerging electromobility sector, particularly, in the area of CMV repair and diagnostics. Consequently, we have renewed the curricula and the textbooks through including the knowledge of electromobility and environmental aspects in the school curriculum. The project partners have carried out individual activities according to the elaborate plan and specific objectives: to specify the competences of education, renew school curricula, promote interest in technical education, extend the competencies of the graduates by introducing an innovative module in real conditions. Develop the skills of the learners at secondary vocational schools through dissemination of activities that are oriented towards facilitating the process of transition to the labor market. The project was attended by three partners, who have extensive experience in the area of project innovation: science, technology, research, mechanical engineering, car repair and teacher training. One of the partners was involved in the project for the first time. The other partner from the field of technology development and research has enriched the project with his expertise, the other partner has shared his experience and knowledge of repair and diagnostics of CMV hybrid drives. As far as foreign partners are concerned, two experts have joined us, one from Croatia and the other from the Czech Republic. Since both the Czech and Croatian languages belong to the Slavic language group, it made the communication barrier pretty easier. Realized project activities: 1) training activities, transnational project meetings and mutual recognition of ECVET for the profession, 2) innovation of the curriculum of the GSP 2487 H car repair, GSP for further education, 3) creation of teaching materials, textbook, “Student’s book – car-service technologies of hybrid vehicles”, ISBN 978-80-570-0837-8, 4) elaboration of workbook “Workbook for students – car-service technologies of hybrid vehicles”, ISBN 978-80-570-0709-8, 5) creation of methodological sheets, ISBN 978-80-570-0838-5, 6) creation of educational web portal, 7) multiplication activities. Methodologies we used in the project include analytical tools and statistical methods. The expected results of the project include: Innovation of school curricula, textbooks, workbook, web portal, staff retraining, multiplication activities and experience sharing. Implementation and dissemination were ensured on a transnational level, which guaranteed the quality of output. The project has had a positive impact not only on the project participants at national and transnational levels, but also on all partner organizations and target groups. Based on the mutual exchange and enrichment of pedagogical experience, innovation of the school curriculum, they will gain competitive advantages and increase the possibilities of employment in the labor market for the graduates of vocational education and trainees. Interim results of the project were disseminated at national and international levels. At the international level, the outputs were disseminated and published at: 2018 IEEE 12th International Conference on the Application and Information Technologies, Influence of ICT Supported Vocational Training in Motor-Car Repair Area on the Quality of Training Results ISBN: 978- 1-5386-0502-8 ISSN: 2378-8232 and the Development trends in the field of automotive industry and their impact on vocational training at 2017 IEEE 11th International Conference on the Information and Communication Technologies (AICT) ISBN: 978-1-5386 -0502-8, and Enhancing Dual Vocational Education in Conditions of Slovakia, at the 2019 22nd International Conference on Interactive Collaborative Learning and the 48th International Conference on Engineering Pedagogy
