Project Summary
Europe is made up of many countries. There are many similarities, but also many differences. How do we meet? What do we eat for breakfast? What customs do we have? Which days are special in our country? What sights are there in our cities? What wishes do we have? What are we dreaming about? What annoys us? What are we looking forward to? What opportunities does Europe give us?
We want to make a movie about it. As many countries as possible should participate. Schools in Germany, Italy, Spain and Romania were found for the project. These 4 countries are located in the north, south, east and west of Europe. There are certainly interesting discoveries for our idea. We would like to make a film in English. The participating students should introduce themselves in the meantime. Together they should look for clues and introduce differences, but also find common ground. Other students will create a website. There will be lots of information, text, small videos and photos. Students will write texts in English and in their native language. Every country gets a job. One country will make the film, one country we will create the website. One country handles eTwinning and other Erasmus platforms and social media. A country takes care of photos and translations.
Students should work together to reduce prejudice about other countries and improve their language skills. There should be friendships. The finished project will later help other students. These students can work with the film after the project. Work orders and worksheets will be created. This allows other students to permanently use the project and the movie to learn more about Europe. The participating students learn how to use digital media. So they learn how to prepare an interview, how to edit a video, how to create a homepage or how to use social media.
The homepage will remain open forever. If other classes later work with the project, new posts may be posted on the site. Many texts will be published in English and in the national language.
