Project Summary

In the 21st century one of the biggest problems of society is the failure of individuals to respect differences.Conflicts over the world are caused by this failure, which can only be transformed into a better situation by internalizing the concept of tolerance(love and respect). The definition of tolerance is made by UNESCO is as follows: “Tolerance is basically to respect the right of others to be like themselves, and to avoid harming others because it will mean harm to yourself and everyone else.” Intolerance arises from the belief that one’s own group, beliefs and lifestyle are superior to the other. No human being has any negative qualities such as being born prejudiced, intolerant, disrespectful.Intolerance is a learned behavior, and it gives us opportunities that it can be transformed into tolerance through education. We have come together as partners that is aware of the fact that it is not possible to be happy and successful beyond anything where human beings do not see respect and value as individuals and seeking solutions to this problem. We have developed our project on Etwinning and created the Strategic Partnerships project to improve effectiveness and persistence in a larger dimension and to make our students feel their own in the schools, to reduce the proportion of those who apply peer tyranny and those who are exposed to it at least 10% and to minimize early school leaving through inclusive activities. The decision to draw attention to these problems in the development plans of the partner schools which have approximately 4280 students in the 11 – 15 age range and has led us to be included in the Erasmus+ programme, which is finding solutions to educational problems and an important educational opportunity for accelerating the transition to the Information Society.
The objectives of our project are to develop and transfer innovative and good practices of schools, to strengthen European dimension, to increase transnational cooperation capacities, to create a more modern, dynamic and professional environment, to gain higher capacity and professionalism in working at EU level, to respond to the needs of disadvantaged individuals using ICT based methodologies, to support school and life achievement of pupils by strengthening basic life and social creative, critical and empathic thinking skills and enabling students to actively participate in activities, to narrow the dimension of inequality in education, to improve conscious media literacy, to enable participants to better know world literature and culture, to develop the skills and competences of the participants in the European dimension, to contribute to the professional development of the teachers, to enable the sharing of experience and knowledge, to give team spirit, responsibility and spirit of entrepreneurship, motivation in working and daily life, to ensure modern language development at European level, more positive attitude towards European project and EU values, to improve the view about refugees and migrants.
Especially activities aiming to improve social, civil, intercultural skills, conscious media literacy, critical and empathic thinking skills, strengthening the struggle against all kinds of discrimination, racism, physical violence and violence and improving the access, participation and learning performance of disadvantaged students, reducing inequality in learning outcomes will be given priority through innovative integrated approaches.
We adopt methods that can be tailored to the needs of the participants to ensure high efficiency, effectiveness, permanence and transferability to practice.Learning by experience, peer and group work, conscious use of information technologies and sharing good practices constitute the basis of our activities.Transnational learning teaching and training activities are very important to our project objectives and will add value to our Project. Participant will be able to develop their skills and their methodologies during these activities.Pupils will meet their peers from different cultures and experience the idea of European citizenship in an international environment.
At the end of our project, partcipants are to become individuals who are more willing and enterprising to improve the quality of their professional and life skills, to evaluate new educational opportunities, to increase their life and academic success, to cooperate with EU institutions, to increase their interest and curiosity, to recognize European culture and to experience the concept of European citizenship, to respect differences. We expect institutions to expand their capacities to cooperate with the EU and to produce new projects, to disseminate the environment and to transform into a pioneering and global institution that draws attention by continuing its activities at the end of the project and transformed into institutions that have experienced solutions about bullying, early school leaving and exclusion.
