Project Summary
In the Europe of the 21st century, one of the challenges that we must support from the educational field is to know the cultural heritage that unites us, taking into account big cities but also citizens having less access chances by reason of their geographic location. With the support of training-related intuitions young Europeans, may overcome the geographical, ethnic, religious, linguistic and formative barriers of today’s society by integrating these differences in a positive way, and fostering intercultural and civic competences. In parallel, the acquisition of new digital skills and consolidation of the already known, is a tool as complementary as necessary for this work.
For this reason, the applicant beneficiary “CPA” training center proposes the project “BPs MOVIEs” for the production of BPs in Audiviosual Training in such a way that through the production of a series of audio-visual productions, written by students from different European centers, on topics related to cultural heritage that especially affect youth and their environment, specific audiovisual VET become enhanced. For this, they will have the professional experience of training entities and companies in the audiovisual sector composing a strategic partnership formed by scholar centers, SMEs and European experts which enriches the value of this BPs.
The project will involve young Europeans between the ages of 13 and 20, including CPA students from Spain, COLLEGE JEAN MONNET from France and young Austrians selected by the Austrian partners.. Two producers with experience in the educational field collaborate in the project for the coordination of the shootings: COSMOS, nexus with Spain and France, and ALPHA, link with Austria. The students, together, will have the possibility of creating audiovisual productions that allow them to reinforce knowledge exchange networks, increase their work capacity at a transnational level and share and confront different ideas, practices and work methods.
The project will be executed in 12 months and 8 training modules, underlining 3 of them that will be practical training exhanges: script, planning, shooting, edition and postproduction. The students participating in this training actions will perform tasks assigned strategically during each phase of audiovisual work. The content of the audiovisual episodes will be aimed at disseminating EU cultural heritage issues linked to social inclusion practices in the three participating countries. Work will be done in the languages of the participants, Spanish, French and German. English will be the language shared by all of them, in order to improve the teaching and learning of languages, promoting the linguistic diversity of the EU and intercultural awareness. The filming stage will take place in the Pyrenean town of Luchon for a week, where all the students will have to travel accompanied by the responsible teachers. There will be another 2 stays, one in Zaragoza (Spain) and another in Vienna (Austria), for the development of practical script / planning and editing / post-production modules, respectively.
The expected impact with the execution of ” BPs MOVIEs ” is that the experience allows new ways of collaboration between all participating organizations at national, European and international level. It is also expected that this project will improve the level of skills and key competences of professional training in the audiovisual sector for people added to this project, mainly in the participating students, especially taking into account their cooperation in activities that promote inclusion Social.
To achieve the desired impact, the productions will be shown at audiovisual events such as the Luchon Television Creation Festival (France), the Zaragoza Film Festival and the Benasque Invisible Film Festival (Spain) and the Rathausplatz Film Festival in Vienna ( Austria). For greater dissemination of the project, it is supported by the Aragonese Radio and Television Corporation (CARTV) of Spain, which will broadcast on TV, radio and international networks.
To optimize the work methodology of the entire project, Google’s online work tools will be used, with the full range of applications offered by G-Suite, also promoting the use of Erasmus + online platforms.
“BPs MOVIEs” has long-term benefits since the training products generated will be informative materials with which the educational centers can work in subsequent courses once the project is finished. In addition, these materials will be freely available to any citizen interested.
